Dangerous and poorly designed juicer
This is an extremely dangerous machine, the basket with the grates that chew up the vegetables continually slips out of mess with the gear below and then chews up the housing and the plastic tools that pushs the vegetables into the shredder. You end up with huge grinding noises and shredded plastic from the plastic tool in your juice which of course is ruined. There is no safety lock to keep the metal basket seated on the gears that drives it. Do not buy this machine its not safe to operate.

Great, until I was drinking plastic.
I wanted to love this juicer. The first few days were great despite two pieces being damaged when I received it. It worked well and I had no issues. But then today (day 8), a grinding crunch sound occurred mid-juicing and I realized the strainer was full of plastic. It even smelled like burning plastic. Pieces of the lid had somehow broken off and shredded in the machine. And the pusher (the item that shoves your good down to get juiced) also showed signs of being shredded. Engineering flaw, for sure. I just can’t drink plastic. I’m planning to send it back. So disappointing.

Very good juicer, but has quality issues
We have been using the juicer and really like it overall, but the plastic top piece that covers the spout coming from the body does not stay in place and keeps falling off. Also, the spout shifts to the closed position during operation due to vibrations. What do we need to do to get the spout cover replaced?

It works.
Juicing helped me get over colitis. I found this juicer to be a reasonable product at a reasonable price. It's not real high power, leaving some psoggy pulp behind. But it works.

I finally found one of these
I bought a used Cuisinart DLC-8 Food Processor several years ago. I was hoping Cuisinart made a juicer attachment for this model. The literature for the processor did not mention a juicer. I was stuck juicing oranges with a slow, noisy, and under-powered juicer (the brand shall remain nameless.) One day I got this crazy idea to search for a Cuisinart juicer attachment on line and VOILA!! There it was. There was one available on Amazon and 2 available on e-bay. Who Knew!!! I sat there asking myself why I didn't do an on-line search sooner. Oh well. This juicer attachment is not available new. There doesn't appear to be much of a demand for it and the processor was made in the mid 80's. Used will have to do.This juicer attachment comes with 3 different sized cones (lemon, orange, and grapefruit) and a speed reduction "transmission" which reduces the speed of the processor down to 250 RPM. Since the DLC-8 has plenty of power it doesn't bog down like the other brand. I juiced 16 pounds of oranges the other day (continuously) and the machine/juicer didn't skip a beat. I got almost a gallon of juice out of 16 pounds of oranges. I will tell you the pulp needs to be cleaned out of the basket every once in a while. If you like pulp in your OJ then don't bother cleaning it out of the basket. The design of the juicer is such that the pulp is moved against the wall by centrifugal force and if you let the pulp build up it will eventually "climb the wall" and get into the juice. The attachment is easy to set up and easy to clean. Mimosa anyone??

Did not work
I was very excited about this juicer but it ended up not working. I tried different sorts of vegetables and fruits like, carrots, beets, celery, apples, orange, cucumbers and pineapple. With soft fruits and vegetables it did an OK job but always made a very loud disturbing noise like if it was going to break. Not to mention with the harder veggies it made a super loud noise and shook alot and then started to smoke. Within the second use it started to smoke and overheat. Even when I let it rest between fruits or vegetables. Within seconds it smoked up. I would really say to not purchase this juicer.
