These are the ones for me
I've been on a journey for the last month searching for the perfect plugs for side sleeping, and these are the ones for me. I have two dogs that lick their lips throughout the night and it was driving me crazy. It'd wake me up and keep me up multiple times.First I tried foam plugs, and while they cancelled the noise well, they were a pain to get in properly. I needed something that I could just throw in when I get sleepy and immediately fall asleep.I then tried some $20 silicon plugs. These also cancelled the noise, and we're comfortable for a week or two, but my ears started to ache in the morning.I then decided if I'm going through the trouble of finding comfortable plugs, maybe I should invest in them. Having them play audio would be nice, especially alarms, since I'm often at events where I need to wake up before others. I then tried the Soundcore A40. This was a mistake on my part, as these aren't for sleeping. Wouldn't matter if I bought them for their intended purpose, I could not get them in my ears. No matter the tip size, they just wouldn't go in, and I'm not sure how they are supposed to for anyone, as they get really thick really fast, so not much can even fit in your ear. I left a negative review being honest about how I didn't do enough research, but how the product still failed at it's intended use case. I promptly was contacted asking if I'd like a full refund without needing to go through the hassle of returning. I accepted, and kept their excellent customer support in mind.I then tried the Ozlo Sleepbuds. These things are $300 and created by ex-BOSE engineers. BOSE used to have their own sleepbuds, having two generations before being cancelled, and people go on and on about how great they were, so surely the Ozlos would be good... They weren't. They were more comfortable than the cheap plugs, but not by much, and the audio constantly cut out. This is due to them doing Bluetooth from your phone to the case, then the case to the buds using a very low bandwidth and power saving Bluetooth format. This let's them be extremely small, but multiple audio drop outs a minute is unacceptable, so I returned them.Last shot, I went back to Soundcore and got these. They're larger than the Ozlos, but better in everyway for me. They're larger, but that isn't a problem for me since they're more comfortable. Larger also allows a bigger battery. They also don't drop out the audio! For a fraction the price these things beat the Ozlos, which is crazy to me considering how bad of a product I found the A40s to be. Extremely happy with their customer support, and extremely happy with this product.

Blocks snoring pretty well, comfy too
I didn't have high expectations for these A20 earplugs, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how well they work and how comfortable they are. I've used them for weeks to block my partner‘s snoring and I've been sleeping a lot better.I like sleeping on my sides and my Apple Airpods were so big they hurt my ears against the pillow. But these SoundCore A20 earplugs are smaller and pretty comfortable. I still feel them a little, but they don't hurt, so I can sleep on my sides again. That's huge for me.The app let me design a custom background noise mix, which I play to block the snoring. That's instead of playing music from my phone, which would run down the A20s battery faster. I set the volume to 34%, not too loud but it blocks all but the loudest snores directly in my face! 😂The earplugs are a little tricky to put in your ears but I've gotten so I can insert them when I'm groggy in the middle of the night. When removing them, I *really* like that the case lights up when you seat them correctly, so you know they'll charge from the case. And the case battery charge lasts much longer than I'd expected. For me, the A20s are well-designed, delivering the right balance of price and performance.

Improved my sleep. Amazing. Bose QC user
- Noise Cancellation -Coming from Bose QC earbud I thought it’ll be hard to impress me with the quality Bose has provided especially when Bose’s famous for noise cancellation. However, I find that this soundcore earbuds can provide me with the same level of noise canceling with Bose’s only with slightly differences. I experienced loud high pitch noise a lot as I have a young child at home, I noticed they both can cancel loud deeper noises fine but having a hard time with high pitch noises but they way they handle those noises are different. Bose seems to ‘lower the volume’ of the noises they can’t block while Soundcore seems to make the sounds seem ‘farther away’. Away, the level of cleanliness in sounds that could and could not peak through are about the same.- Comfort -Soundcore really stand out in this area as it’s made for comfort in sleep positions, it has light weight to the point sometimes I forgot I’m wearing it. Problem is… the noise canceling silicones can make your ears sweat and greasy. I find myself often feel uncomfortable and needed to clean my ears often if I wear these earbuds just to filter out the noises during the day or still watching something before sleeping. And the moment I wake up I’d have the urge to clean my ears right away as well. Before I got Soundcore I used to use Bose during sleep. Bose always fell off even with the wings, and they are heavy and make my ears sore. Because they’re kind of bulky I have a hard time sleeping in my comfort position as I’m a side sleeper. And using Bose to help me sleep for a week straight led me to have some bleeding before.- Durable -Material … I heard a review from a YouTuber that the material is soft and can easily be torn. I do agree that the silicone part really feel soft and it might rip apart while changing the sizes, however, I never have a problem with it… I’ve try to be mindful but not too gentle with it and my earbuds are still fine. I never pull the silicones while using them so I never experienced any risks. I’d say they are quite sturdy more than how they feel.Battery … the life of the battery is amazing especially comparing to Bose. I never test if they really do last 50 hours as they claimed but I can use Soundcore earbuds for a few days and nights straight without charging them. While Bose last about 2-3 hrs with noise cancellation mode, Soundcore can last the whole night from before I’m actually sleeping to when I wake up, so I can play my calming noises all night.Charging is quite fast…. Honestly I just never experienced it running out of power at all even I use it quite a lot. Unlike Bose that I feel I constantly need to charge the whole thing daily because of my heavy use.I’d say they both have pros and cons, I still use both of them, especially when going out since you can’t turn off Soundcore’s noise cancellation unless you change the silicone buds but Bose can with just a tap. I prefer using Soundcore’s while I’m at home since they do stay in place better, but then again I still have to take them out and clean my ears and the earbuds often. Bose would be better if I plan to use noise cancellation in short period. And I still use my eye mask with headphones over Soundcore’s earbud sometimes, they don’t stay as good but my ears feel less icky.
