The Charlie Method (Campus Diaries, 3)

I just finished The Charlie Method and really enjoyed it. Charlie is such a fun and layered character—she’s the smart, polished sorority girl by day but has this wild, adventurous side at night. I loved seeing her try to figure out who she really is and where she belongs. The romance was definitely spicy and entertaining. Charlie with Will and Beckett made for a lot of fun moments, though I did feel like Beckett got more focus than Will at times. Still, the chemistry between all three was strong and kept me hooked. What I liked most was how the story mixed the steam with real emotion—family issues, identity, and the pressure of expectations. It wasn’t just fluff; there was some depth too. That said, a few parts felt rushed, especially toward the end, and I wished certain plot points had been given more time. Overall, I’d give it about 4 stars. It’s a steamy, fast-paced read with plenty of heart, perfect if you’re already a fan of Elle Kennedy’s Briar U universe.

Elle Kennedy does it again! The Charlie Method was everything I wanted and more. The spice? Top. Tier. Seriously, some of the best I’ve read in a long time. Every scene was written with such intensity and chemistry that I couldn’t put the book down. I absolutely loved being back at Briar University—it felt like coming home. Seeing familiar faces from past books made the experience even better, and the character development in this one was chef’s kiss. And let’s talk about Will and Beckett—I literally could not decide which one I loved more. They were both so considerate of Charlie, and the way their relationship played out felt so natural and right, even though it wasn’t the conventional path. I loved that they didn’t let outside opinions dictate their happiness. I also deeply sympathized with Charlie. Her struggle with being adopted and feeling like she had to maintain a perfect image to fit in with her family really hit me. Elle Kennedy delivered those emotions beautifully, and I felt every bit of Charlie’s internal battle. One scene that stood out to me was toward the end when she’s with her family, and they all start airing out their own secrets. That was not something I saw coming, and I have to admit—I laughed at how each of them went about it. Also, the Dad text thread? Absolutely hilarious. I was laughing out loud every time it popped up! Elle Kennedy just knows how to balance steam, emotion, and humor so perfectly. If you love Elle Kennedy’s books, this one will blow you away. It’s sexy, emotional, and completely addictive. A must-read!

I enjoyed this story. There was a lot going on between Charlotte, Will and Beckett. They had amazing chemistry and a lot of fun together, despite all of her reservations about getting involved with both of them. Charlotte had a lot of issues about other people's perceptions of her, and she had to work through all of that to be able to move forward. Their relationship isn't the norm and there was a lot of questions about how it could work in the long term. I have a little trouble connecting to stories with more than two people in a relationship, only because my mind is always wondering how it would work and who would end up togther if they didn't last as an threesome. The story was good though, and I did enjoy how these three worked to find their happily ever after together.

As the three continue to spend more time together they quickly realize that the noncommittal fun they all were having has turned into something they can’t live without. Never having read a MFM romance before, I wasn’t sure what to expect or if it was something I would even like, but in Elle Kennedy we trust. Even with three main characters, we are given a deeper look into each person’s past and see how their current limitations in their relationship came to be. All three being complex characters kept their individual storylines moving just as quickly as their relationship was developing. The anticipation of everyone’s identities being revealed made the beginning quick-paced while the chemistry and instant connection kept me intrigued after the reveal. I was shocked by the limited drama between the three main characters but the side drama was very present. Will and Beckett were both sweet and attentive to Charlotte while she offered them constant support and a deeper connection. The three really made for the cutest couple and a steamy read! The Charlie Method is the third installment in Elle Kennedy’s Campus Diaries Series. It was a total “don’t judge a book by its cover” moment for me. I went in completely blind—not knowing it was a delicious, spicy why-choose romance—and I loved every minute of the surprise. I absolutely fell in love with Charlie. She’s soft but strong, and incredibly relatable. Watching her figure out who she really is and what she wants out of life was such a rewarding journey. Her hockey boys—Will and Beckett—weren’t just love interests, they were her anchors and mirrors, each helping her grow in different ways. What I especially appreciated was that each character had their own life, goals, and growth separate from the life they were building together. It made the romance feel more grounded and real. You could feel the emotional weight of their choices. And can we talk about that family scene toward the end? I was laughing out loud—it was absolutely hilarious. I won’t spoil it, but let’s just say secrets were dropping like bombs and it somehow managed to be both chaotic and incredibly heartwarming. Charlie’s family was everything. Their support, their humor, their openness—it was a standout part of the book for me. Elle Kennedy’s writing continues to deliver. She’s forever an author I’ll adore. No one does hockey romance like she does—it was her books that made me a Hockey Romance Girlie in the first place, and honestly? I’m not even mad about it.

A conclusão perfeita pra essa trilogia, as lutas internas do trisal se formando foi muito gostoso de ler. Não tem como não se apaixonar pelo Beckett desde o início, Will deu uma oscilada mas entendi as motivações dele, a narrativa é muito bom. Pode ler sozinho, mas recomendo muito ler os dois primeiros antes (o livro 1 ainda é meu favorito).

4.5 stars This is a fun, entertaining, wild ride. Will, Becket and Charlotte are interesting, complicated, strong, relatable, intriguing, complex, wounded, entertaining characters. The path to their HEA is entertaining to read. These three are fun to spend time with. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. I loved getting to see and hear about the couples from the previous books in the series. I enjoyed the family and friend aspects of the story and what each brought to the main characters and the plot. The story is easy to read and get into. I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators.

I love Elle Kennedy! And I am sad off Campus and Briar series are over. I just felt kinda off with this story. Maybe it’s just my personal intake on a three person relationship and it just felt odd. I also felt it was more sex scenes and not an actual depiction of how they fall in love. But I do save from the book that I liked Charlie’s character so much.

This book was not what I expected from all the hints in the previous book. I think it was done so well though - I enjoy that the relationship was so sex focused and really built a foundation. Charlotte is such a complex character with a lot of issues and feelings to unpack. I think there was a bigger story at play. However there were so items that didn’t get wrapped up at the end. The ending did feel slightly rushed but I still throughly enjoyed it. The bonus fanfic chapters and Dad chat were brilliant. I’m intrigued at all the Easter eggs for the next book
