Waterproof Video Light Underwater Lights Dive Light for Gopro/AKASO Action Cameras and Canon/Nikon SLR Cameras Sea forgs Underwater Housing (SL-101)

I bought two of these lights. One failed at the end of my last dive trip. The other one failed before diving again and in less than a year from purchasing. So the durability and reliability of this product is pretty poor. They were fairly inexpensive but if you are looking for lights that last you should shop for another brand.

It’s a great watertight light that is super bright. Functionality is its only downfall. The clip that holds the light to the arms can come undone and then your light fell off while scuba diving in Bimini.Until it fell off I was happy with it. That main point of failure makes it of poor build quality at its weakest link. It fits into the arms of most go pro style attachments.I don’t think it’s worth the cost despite how easy it was to use.

I like this light. Its relatively small and seems to be waterproof for at least 10ft. I am yet to take it on a deep water scuba trip but so far it works as advertised. It would have liked to have seen a color temp setting but the included gels help mitigate this issue, especially as color starts to seriously shift around 60ft. They include a red gel which is great for anything at more serious depths. It has a nice heavy duty latch to cover the battery compartment along with a decent seal along the rim to help block water intrusion. The latch is similar to the ones Pelican uses on their cases with a slightly tighter fit. There are definitely better options if you plan on using this above water since its charging port requires you to open said latch and it only has one color temp setting. The one large drawback of this light is that mine did not come with the two required batteries and the specs don't mention what type of battery it needs (Not AA or AAA). I suspect it takes a couple 18650's but I still won't know until I take a guess. I like the fact that it takes external, replaceable batteries since this is the most common failure point for underwater electronics but not including them makes this device a bit less useful. I really like that they include a bunch of mounting solutions including two gopro styles as well as a standard cold-shoe. I like that it has two mounting areas for the accessories so one could potentially add other things like a grip or float. The one mounting option it lacks is a 1/8" or 1/4" threaded hole for other mounts. Another thing that I noticed is that it does not appear to be 1500 lumens as the ad denotes but this may be due to the lack of batteries. If it preforms as well as it should, I'll update this review to five stars. So far so good.

Every now and then I film videos in the rain, but I’ve always had to rely on what little bit of ambient light that’s available. This is such a useful solution. It allows me to walk around and film in the rain and actually have a reliable light source that’s waterproof. The light itself is pretty basic. It’s one single color, but it does come with some color gels to help you adjust the color temperature of your lighting. And there’s a cold shoe mount so you can mount it on your camera if you want. Overall, this is a really simple solution that works great. Highly recommended.
