Sort of like a mix between a sled and a skateboard, my kids and their friends love it
My 8-year-old uses it and loves it. Keep in mind, this is not a snowboard, a sled, or skateboard; it is a sort of hybrid of all three. I am over 6' and 200 pounds, and I have used it without breaking it. However, I did not try crazy tricks or stomp on the ends repeatedly. I would bet a kid could use this as a sled for a decade, and it would never break. But if you want to jump off your porch or jump down stairs onto concrete, it might well snap. It is not as sturdy as a real maple skateboard, but it is not cheap plastic like some sled you get in Walmart. My kids and their friends use it in place of a sled, and they love it. It has no bindings, but is much easier to use than you would think.

You get what you pay for..
Think of a snowskate like a regular skateboard. You get what you pay for. This is basically a Wal-Mart equivalent. I was so excited to try out snowskating, but it was totally made out of plastic and was super flexible. If you wanted to ollie, for example, you would have to re-learn the motions because of how much the tail bent. And I landed a nollie lipslide and slid away, but as soon as I tried a boardslide, the board snapped perfectly in half, leaving me without a snowskate for the last half of winter. Also, it has no grip. as soon as you get any moisture in between your feet and the board, you slip and slide trying to fix your foot positioning. If you run on the board, you'll really only be able to try anything nollie because no matter what, you instantly slide to the front of the board. the only other option (if you want to do a trick off the tail) is to ride down a hill by standing still, setting up your front foot first, then pushing off. Better hope you have a steep, straight hill if you want speed. 2 stars because I was able to land a few tricks on it before it snapped, but again, you definitely get what you pay for.
