HP Chromebook 14” – A Solid and Affordable Choice
The HP Chromebook 14” is a great option for those looking for a budget-friendly laptop with reliable performance. It’s lightweight and sleek, making it easy to carry around, whether for school, work, or casual browsing. The 14-inch display is bright and clear, offering a good viewing experience for streaming and daily tasks.Performance-wise, it handles web browsing, document editing, and video streaming smoothly, thanks to Chrome OS’s efficiency. The battery life is impressive, lasting a full day on a single charge. However, since it relies on cloud storage and web-based apps, it may not be ideal for heavy software users.Overall, it’s a great pick for students or anyone needing a simple, fast, and affordable laptop for everyday tasks.

Solid, good value, fast and very easy to set up.
Bought for a family member who was still using a laptop with windows 7........Picked it largely for the special offer however wanted a cheap and chearful "device" that was easy to use, easy to set up and least likely to result in me getting phone calls to help. Excellent screen quality, could be brighter and sound a bit louder but for him its perfect. Besides the price:It feels good and solid, Its some sort of metal alloy so cool to the touch and feels robust. I also wanted to go ChromeBook as he had been duped into paying crazy money ON SUBSCRIPTION for anti virus for his current windows 7 brick... I mean laptop!

Nice Chromebook
I bought this to replace a MacBook which died on me after 8 yrs service☹️In the interim I had also had a laptop which died after a much shorter time😣 so I thought I would try a Chromebook🤞. So far I am very pleased with this, nice size, fantastic price , 1/5 🤩of what I was expecting if I had replaced it with a MacBook, so simple to set up and start using, I was genuinely shocked after an initial charge, I was up and running within 10 minutes🙂, a couple of software updates later, it’s all running superbly. Keyboard is a nice and suits my typing style👇👇👇. My use is mainly for word processing documents and work stuff - no CAD stuff and no games so I can’t comment on how it would perform with that. Screen is big enough for my failing eyesight 🤣. All in all I am delighted so far and actually prefer it to its predecessors.👍

Great value and very handy
Bought this because i had an extended stay in hospital recently, good value for money, some things you can't do because it's a chromebook, but for 200 pounds and especially when it offers the pay monthly deal, which i took,40 a month for 5 months, impressive little laptop and better than some at double the price.

For £160 it's all the Chromebook I need.
A lightweight chromebook, with an acceptable screen and not the worst keyboard and trackpad I've ever used. Perfectly reasonable specs for the intended use case. Limited built in I/O I suppose but that's not a dealbreaker. At 160 notes it's a banging little laptop and is my new daily driver.

Faulty so Returned
I got this on black Friday for my husband's Christmas present, luckily it came with an extended return window. It seemed very good at first easy to set up, it had a good battery life and was fast but after a while became obvious it had a constant issue staying connected to the internet, and kept showing error messages saying there was a connection problem.I followed all the trouble shooting suggestions, I googled for more tips, changed settings and disconnected other media (which was working and had no problems staying connected to the internet) so this laptop had no competition for our WiFi but it still failed to stay connected. After a couple of weeks of trying and failing I decided to return it while I still could. I then purchased a replacement from a popular high street shop and have had no issues with that at all. There was something not right with this laptop but it was reassuring that Amazon offer a good return policy compared to shops.

Great HP model but...
The issues with Chromebook operating system is a real nuisance, I have worked with Chrome for years but never found it challenging as an environment until switching to Chromebook.I'm not that keen on windows either because of the data harvesting that goes on because it means I have to turn off loads of cookies or delete them every week.So this has been demoted to the second back up laptop and I have purchased a Notebook as well. However, HP is great, easy to setup and obviously as a repeat purchaser the quality is good value for money.

Great value for day to day usage
A very reliable and quick laptop for day to day use, Such good value for under £200.Very handy for google browsing and storing media files with USB inputs.Fairly light in weight so good for mobility.I recommend this machine especially if you are on a budget and undemanding for ultra high performance or expensive brand
