My grama fell and broke her pelvis in two places and her hip in two places. My mom and I purchased this for her to wrap around her hip while she is sitting in the chair. She said the cooler kept the water temperature very cold the entire session which lasted a few hours. She thinks it's almost too cold but it did help with the bruising in her hip right away. Overall I am very impressed with this device and I would recommend to others! Works great! Great value for your money!!

Light weight, easy to use. I have only tried it once and it worked like a charm. I use small frozen water bottles and water. It wasn't that heavy because of it's smaller size. I like the idea of an actual cooler as it's base. The controller was simple to work with. Hope it continues to work well after my knee replacement. If the pump should not work, it could be replaced with another pump or you have a small cooler. The wrap around pad could be a tad bigger but works for me.

Produce worked very good after knee surgery but cannot figure out how to disassemble the tubing from the box. I did not put it together and the instructions do not give any information. That is the reason for the 4 rating.

On a basic level it works, but there are plenty of issues. Like other reviewers mentioned, there is no fill line in the cooler and the epoxy or hot glue they used to attach the pump to the bottom of the cooler came loose. Additionally the tubing doesn’t like to stay in place and with any amount of jostling it’ll start squirting water everywhere if the tubing comes loose.On the topic of using ice, we found that freezing mini bottle of water and putting those in the cooler kept the water plenty cold and they could easily be refrozen. The time it took one set of bottles to thaw was about the same as it took the other set to freeze back up, so we could continually rotate frozen bottles without having to use tons of ice.

The media could not be loaded. The customizable timer offers a degree of simplicity that is absent from the majority of simple cold treatment systems, making it one of the more notable characteristics of this equipment. I no longer need to keep track of the amount of time that I have been applying ice to my knee, nor am I required to set repeated alarms throughout this time. My sessions may be tailored to my therapist's suggestions thanks to the machine, which gives me the ability to modify them. I have the ability to quickly set the timer at intervals of twenty minutes or longer, which eliminates the possibility of over-icing on the surface. All by itself, this function makes the device worth its price since it provides me with a sense of security and guarantees that I am using the system in the appropriate manner.

I do not recommend this product! When I received it the water pump was loose in the reservoir. The silicone/epoxy securing the pump failed. Second, the instructions say to fill with water to the water line. There is no water line inside or outside the reservoir!

Bought this to use after total knee replacement. I need to ice several times a day. Keep it next to your chair, almost filled with water. When it is time to ice, just drop a couple of frozen water bottles in. The ice cold water circulates around your knee. Wrap for knee was ample size to fit around my knee. I am 6' and 24#. Highly recommend.
