Q: Is this tent good for the beach ?

That is exactly what I purchased it for. Some beaches don’t allow this type of tent, but the one we went to doesn't start that restriction until May 15th. Worked great for us.

Q: How to keep the legs from sliding down?

They should pop into place with the little metal nubs that stick out. Don't use if there is any wind whatsoever as I only got to use mine 2 times before the bar bent. Every other easy-up and tent was still standing except ours.

Q: Are any tools required for set up?

A small hammer is needed for the stakes in hard ground, I found we didn't need the stakes unless it was very windy
