After trying to use Apple usb-c to thunderbolt t2 adapters, I learned that solution does not work. However, after reading reviews for this product I figured why not, I could get two cables for less than one of the usb-c to thunderbolt 2 adapters. Imagine how nice it was to get both of my external monitors working on my new iMac. So like others have found if you want to use DVI connections on your external monitors with a new iMac, this is the solution.

This product is exactly what I needed, but has not held up to the test of time. I believe that it is due to weak construction and the small wires being stressed. I used to be able to turn the thunderbolt end of the connection around 180 degrees and it would solve the problem for a while, but it has stopped working altogether now. I will be shopping for a suitable replacement.

This is the one. After trying 2 other solutions (the AmazonBasics DVI2HDMI cable and the little gray adapter dongle), this is the one that works with the 2018 Mac Mini. Cable feels thin, but it's not like we're going to be moving it around a lot, so it should be fine.

Cable didn't work for my 2019 MacBook Pro...

Cable works. Seems sturdy. Not much else to say about a cable.
