Solid - Clean Sound - Powerful - Excellent features
Upgraded from a Harbinger "starter PA" from Guitar Center. Nice product but needed more. I've been using this PA steadily for two years. Local gigger. I highly recommend it. Here's why.I play 6 and 12 string acoustic electric guitars and sing. Sometimes with a woman vocalist/guitarist. For much of my work I use backing tracks. The mixer that comes with this PA does a lot, all in one place, easy to use.1] Bluetooth works flawlessly with my laptop computer providing the tracks' backup2] built-in reverb is very flexible - lots/little - sounds good3] 6 inputs accommodate XLR and 1/4" for more flexibility4] monitor sends provide me with real time mix going to house5] plenty of power, more than enough for small or medium size venues6] packs up and sets up easily7] the feedback supressor: set and forget, work very well not perfectEasily add in pedals for additional professional effects. (TC-Helicon Harmony Singer for one)I am very very happy with this PA and it just might be your next upgrade.

Great for home or small events
Used this for a small wedding (150) guests playing dinner music and it worked well. It was plenty loud although if you’re wanting to use it for a DJ set I would recommend getting some subs. For home use, I love the Bluetooth functionality. Works really well to pair it with the phone. Many a karaoke night have been had using this thanks to the mixer on the back. The effects are great and easy to use and the feedback reduction works well.Honestly have no downsides to speak of except that I wouldn’t mind more bass. These things are decent but no comparison to having a true subwoofer obviously.

Upgraded from Fender Passport Event
I upgraded to this from a Fender Passport Event system, which didn’t play loud enough - this solved that problem by a huge margin! This system has a really good variable bass boost, tons of power, and speakers that can take it - if you need to do a small wedding, this will do it standalone; add a subwoofer and you should be fine for groups up to 100 or so. The mixer is really well thought out, with selectable feedback suppression, and a great form factor, and the System is easy to carry, with everything fitting into the speakers, which have good handles on them (Fender puts everything together into one huge package, which is difficult to carry). The sound quality is very typical PA - if you put them at ear level, and stand straight in front of them, they will make your ears bleed. They are very directional, and the highs especially drop off quickly as you move to the side - the Fender was much better in this regard. Also, the Yamah amp has some hiss, which is easily audible if you are straight in front of the speaker. A DJ friend recommended putting them above standing height by a foot or so, and this really helped - the sound smoothed out, and the hiss was much less noticable. I still liked the sound of the Fender system much better, but this is a PA system, not a home theater, so sound quality wasn’t my first priority. Most of my use is setting the system up in a large workshop and listening while I work on projects, and for this I would have preferred the sound quality of the Fender system. However, as the “Audio Guy” in my circle of friends, I get a few requests a year to help out poor relatives with weddings, or to provide a small sound system for a charity auction or school event. Since the Yamaha Soundpas does all of this, but the Fender doesn’t play loud enough for the weddings, the Yamaha wins, so I’m keeping it.One last thought - I know Fender has a larger, “Event” system, with a little more power, and 10” speakers like the Yamaha, but my experience with the two systems makes me think it still wouldn’t be enough. The Fender amplifier in the system I had wasn’t very “Punchy” sounding, and I felt like I was pushing it farther than it wanted to go. Also, the Yamaha speakers are much more efficient than the Fenders were - Plug them both into the same amplifier, at the same settings, and the Yamahas were much louder - probably 6db, which is probably why they felt like they really wanted to play loud. In the end, I think the Yamaha system is better engineered for its purpose.

Really good sound in a small package
Been using these for 6 months in a stationary setting, although they are portable if required. Packs a nice punch and the built in EQ/Amp makes it a complete package. I added a subwoofer, although for most small rooms you may not need it.Overall a good value.+Bluetooth sounds and works great+Added an external wireless mic and that works well too.
