It fits my note 3
I needed a replacement for my original Seidio holster and red case. I bought the original in September 2014 and broke December 2015. While exiting a car my holster snagged and the clip snapped off. I ordered this one and it fits my Note 3. The only complaint is that the clip can be adjusted--you can turn it so it is horizontal or vertical but unlike the original this one is stiff when being turned. I caution people to be careful if for some reason you only buy the clip and it's coming from this exact order page. Because my original was smooth from the start i know how much force to turn the clip. It would be awful if someone received this and turned too far to waste another 30-40$ for another one. Also in case people wonder you do need a certain external Seidio case to go with this clip otherwise I am sure it won't work. It is also plastic and you might get it and think it is "cheap" yea it sometimes feels like that but it works and I got so used to the one hand clip re-clip movement I'd buy this again as long as I mistakenly break it. If I had just taken my time getting out of the car, my original would not have broken. It was my fault. Hoping this one lasts longer.

Some Notes about "Mixing and Matching"
I bought this holster recently to try using with another brand of case (Spigen Neo Hybrid). They are NOT designed to go together, but the pairing works great for me! I have been using this for nearly a week.ALL BUYERS...might be interested to know that this holster is very solidly constructed, and is both durable and fairly lightweight. I put it on my belt and manhandled it for quite a bit before I trusted it with my astronomically expensive Galaxy Note 3. It's not indestructable, but it's strong enough to rely upon!MIXING AND MATCHING:Based on mixed reviews from several other buyers, I decided to buy this holster to try in combination with the Spigen "Neo Hybrid" cover. I like the looks of the Seidio "Surface" cover, but the fact that the stand is magnetic is a deal-breaker for me. Also, I'm an engineer, and I know that "what LOOKS and SEEMS very protective, sometimes is NOT" and the only surety against damage is testing. (I'd prefer someone else do that!) The Neo Hybrid was one of the very *few* thin covers where reviewers claimed they had actually dropped their phones (by accident, I hope!) and that it had indeed protected it.So I tried them together.Do they work together? For me, yes. For others, apparently not. So your mileage may vary! The reason for this is probably a combination of manufacturing variances and personal preferences. If you want a cover and holster that fit as though they were designed for each other, then please buy exactly that. (I'd prefer to have done that, but Spigen doesn't seem to make a holster for the Neo cover.)I'm guessing that variances also play a part because my cover fits the phone VERY snugly --- it took quite some fiddling to get the phone fully seated into it. It is tight and there is no "play" in the fit.To put my Neo-covered phone into the holster takes a small amount of assertiveness. The fit is snug and quite secure, but there ARE some little gaps here and there that I bet don't happen with the properly matching Seidio cover. The spring-loaded end clip is probably designed to return NEARLY to it's "at rest" position with a "Surface"-covered phone in place. With my Neo-covered phone, it is distended just a bit, but close examination under magnification convinced me that it has a secure grip on the edge of the phone. (Hey, I *did* say I'm an engineer! That equals "nerd" most of the time.) You just have to make sure you give both the phone and the clip a good push to ensure everything is seated well.I find I can do this quickly without a second thought, so it is not a problem for me. If your personality style means you like to just carelessly jam the phone into the holster, this is not the combo for you! Buy the real matching paired holster and cover.WHEW. Apologies for this review being so long! I wrote the review I would have liked to have read before taking a chance on buying this. I hope it helps others!

Expensive but effective
First off, I find this to be a very expensive plastic phone holster. I used to be able to get a cheap holster from a local flea market with what looks to be the same craftsmanship. Especially since the first one broke on me in under 6months. Nonetheless, this is the same holster that came with my Seidio Surface case for my Galaxy Note 3. The first one just broke at the clip part, that clips onto my belt. When getting out of the car it gets snagged on the seat belt, sometimes if you walk to close to a door or anything for that matter it will get caught and could possibly break. Being that the Galaxy Note 3 is a big phone this is also a big Holster, so definitely be careful. But this is the best case and holster that I have found for my phone. So I do recommend this over the other 3 cases that I've come across.

Handy, but the liner detached at the bottom edge
The only drawback I see is that the fabric lining the holster came loose on the bottom corners after just a few weeks, and I had to glue it back on. This one is a replacement for one I bought a year or so ago. The hinge on that one broke while I was wearing it. I hope this one lasts longer.

Seidio Surface holster
I bought the Seidio Surface case and holster combo for my Note 3. Liked it at first. But, I was used to a leather horizontal pouch holster. Anyway, after about 2 months, I broke the belt clip on the holster. It was not exactly a defect. I hung the holster on a car door getting in. So, I went back to a leather case. I bought 2 leather cases and both of them came apart after a couple of months. Now I am back to the Surface combo. It's not an indestructible unit but it is my favorite unit on the market for a Note3. I don't like the bulk of an Otterbox defender and I have had many problems with the plastic retention clip for those. The Seidio retention clip is a much better design. Plastic will only flex so many times before breakage occurs. Big thumbs up for Seidio.

Used on 1+ One
Ordered this to use with my 1+ one paired wit hthe TUDIA Slim-Fit CYGEN case. Not an exact fit but it does hold well enough. The clip was solid for the first few months but has since started to lose a bit of tension which of course is to be expected from something getting abused every day.

Just the best!
Just the best "quick-release" hip carrier for smart phones, my Samsung Note 3 in particular. Minimalistic case secures your phone, and hip-clip is strongest, most secure, and nearly unbreakable to wear in the vulnerable position (also the HANDIEST) on your hip.I'd slammed my last hip carrier against so many door frames, so many times, after about a year and change...it just gave up. Just received my replacement which will handily take me through my decision to go with Note 4...or wait and see what Note 5 looks like. For Case, carrier, and all your phone's needs...you can't beat SEIDIO. Period!
