Jerome RussellColor Bomb Brights – Ruby Red Colour Depositing Conditioning Mask, 300ml

My hair was virgin medium brown when I dyed it a deep burgundy at a salon (without bleach). It was nice but a little disappointing because it was only visible in sunlight, and the change was barely visible indoors. Disappointed, and feeling helpless and hopeless as I was against bleaching, I tried this product in Berry Red and was anxious about trying it because I didn’t know if it will work on my darker hair. BUT IT DID. The Berry Red has a pinkish tint to it which was exactly what I wanted, because it blended nicely with the burgundy base and made the purplish burgundy tone that I desperately wanted!! As I was drying and styling it, the colour was noticeable in indoor lighting. It still needs to be under lighting to appear in its full vividness, but it certainly satisfied me.The product is easy to clean off the bathroom tiles and sink, a spritz from a basic bathroom cleaner easily cleared it so it’s not at all hard to clean up. On the skin, however, I made the stains go away with facial cleanser on a cotton pad and it took a few rubs but it does go away so I find it quite easy to clean up, but it IS messy so definitely wear gloves and take off any jewellery. The water runs pink when rinsing it off the hair and the product leaves pinkish stains so this shade like I mentioned before has a pinkish undertone which is something you should keep in mind if you’re layering shades like I am.The bottle came a little smaller than I expected, but the product itself is quite saturated and I didn’t feel I had to use too much of it on my long hair (I avoided the roots and top crown but applied it onto 90% of my long hair) so I feel it would last me a while.It did leave my hair nicely soft and smooth when I was styling it with my hot comb afterwards. It smells nice but it’s not exceptionally fragrant, it just smells pleasant. It was easy to apply (I used my gloved hands and a wide-toothed comb).All in all, absolutely lovely product, did not disappoint with my darker hair, and provided the extra brightness I wanted.

Got this after I bleached my hair, after using toner I kept going more silver than white so thought I'd try this and is one of the only white toners that actually worked for me. Followed the instructions and ended up with nice white hair ... Had a fair few comments on where I went to get it done and was surprised when I said I'd done it myself! It uses a pump which can be annoying though as you need a few pumps to actually do a heads worth but it smells nice and works so other than the pump no complaints.

This is a great idea for a top up colour freshener that you can use whilst you shower. It runs a bit cheaper than other temporary hair colours such as directions. It barely stains the skin and/or bath tub and the water runs pretty clear after rinsing out. I use around 4-6 pumps on shoulder length hair mainly because i am trying to get away from pink hair. I cannot comment on how long it lasts just yet as i've been applying it every day however i expect it to behave like other bright party colours and wash out in about 1-2 weeks time. The price isn't that bad (approx £13) when you compare it to others.

Bought this a few days ago and tried it immediately and I am completely shocked. I’ve never left a review before but I wasn’t expecting this to work as well as it did but I left it on for 10 minutes like it said and it immediately brightened up the colour. I am definitely about to stock up on this because it’s also left my hair feeling so healthy and shiny. Would so recommend!

Wear gloves or you'll have red hands for a day or so.It works and gives a lovely colour, but doesn't last very long before it fades out. I'd say the same colour lasts 1 wash. Was hoping for a bit more longevity.Also, doesn't do much for my hair in terms of conditioning - my normal conditioner leaves my hair smoother but all in all, saves me a salon trip!Also stains walls, showers, even on subsequent washes so make sure you minimise splashes and wipe down after washing your hair.

The product is great for upkeep. I apply it monthly when my ends look a little dull. But... it stains your hands. So dont make the mistake I made by trying to use it like a normal conditioning hair mask in the shower... you will have to get out the shower and apply it with gloves and wrap your hair for about 15 minutes and then get back in the shower to rinse it off.

I bought the blonde. My hair is blonde and the color was actually ok, I just wanted it more even toned. I squirted it onto my hand and was shocked to see it was dark brown. I should have gone with my instinct but I gave it the benefit of doubt. I left it on for 8 minutes not 10 because I could see my hair was really dark. I washed it off and shock horror my hair was dark brown. I washed it 4 times before it was passable as a blonde. My hair wasn’t even conditioned it was incredibly rough like I’d put vinegar on it. Stay away from it

Wow!! I wish I knew about this product years ago. I messed up my hair bleaching it and hair dye just wasn’t covering the bleach, literally this is the only thing that has worked and turned it brown, it lasts ages too, I use it every few washes and I will continue to buy it! I also have used the red one before and it’s just as good. Highly recommended the colour is great and the coverage is brilliant. Perfect product! I love it
