Easy to install
I had to adjust the screw to reduce the temp setting to use with my Danby frig. Worked fine after that

Fridge too cold? read this...
I installed the thermostat in an old fashioned fridge with a metal freezer (non-autodefrost).The sensor wire is attached to the bottom of the freezer. This may explain why some reviewers are having problems with the fridge being too cold. I think the thermostat is designed to operate with the temperature of the freezer section, not the fridge. I hope this helps someone.The thermostat is working fine!

Good replacement
Works great with my compact Frigidaire. Only problem was ground terminal was larger than mine where I had to do a work a around. Easy to install otherwise

It's good for controlling the evaporator temperature, not the mainspace.
I wrote a long very detailed review, but when I looked at the picture and then went back to the review, it was gone. Suffice it to say that the picture shows the application in a 69-year-old GE refrigerator, including a new knob also bought on this website. Installation required some adaptation but was straightforward. The temperature range is suitable for this application, where the sensor is held in contact with the evaporator. Mainspace temperature is fairly steady at about 43℉ at the warmest setting, and about 31℉ at the coldest setting, so 40℉ should be somewhere in between. Your fridge may vary. I don't know how long it will last, but I will change this review if it fails.

Temp sensor isn't calibrated correct
Freezes on lowest setting on my mini fridge so I ran the probe thru the freezer instead of the fridge part so it shuts off before freezing anything outside of the small freezer in the fridge and freezer stays frozen

Will not shut off
Easy to install however it will not shut off. The adjustments must be 40 degrees apart. You have to turn it down to turn it on them back off 80% of the adjustment you just made to get the cooler to shut off. It will not restart until you go through this process again. Save your money and buy one that’s around $24 dollars that works

Just what we needed at a decent price! ;}
This is just what our bar/dorm fridge needed and the price was right vs buying a new fridge or having this one repaired. Thankfully my husband is handy and was able to replace this himself and we're back in business!! ;D

Perfect replacement
After a flooded basement, the freezer no longer ran but I knew the enclosed compressor was good so I replaced the capacitor and relay for the motor but still no reliable performance. So the thermostat was the last replacement and while the temperature sensor probe was difficult to route in my freezer, once routed this thermostat took off like a champ. Saved me the cost and headache of replacing the freezer. Great part!
