Double garage door canopy
I purchased this product to fit over my double garage door which had been converted from a manual up and over to an electrical vertical opener. The canopy itself is not the easiest to assemble so anyone purchasing this product should forget the on-line video demo as it is not that easy.Being 4.5 metres wide I required 2 packs (3 sections per pack) but only required 5 so 1 spare. I started by assembling the first section at ground level then fixing it to the brick work via the 10mm masonry fixing bolts, a spirt level is essential so as to keep the following sections from going off course. The fixing centres between each end supports are 8.88cm so each fixing hole can be drilled to ease erection. I found this method reasonably easy progressing left to right across the full width of the garage. The screws supplied for joining each section to one another are 25mm x 8 and not long enough 35mm x 8are better. The most fiddliest part is fitting the centre joining strip to the polycarbonate panels (2 per section) not as easy as shown in the video. The quality of this product is reasonable for the price and is very robust and rigid, keeps the rain from entering my garage when the door is up so I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Excellent product - easy to install
I wasn’t expecting a lot from this product to be honest but with a little tweaking and strengthening this porch has stood up to countless storms since installing in February. Once the sheeting was in place we strengthened the slot by using waterproof clear awning tape on both sides and sealed the edging with waterproof sealant - aesthetically pleasing and the porch has added a finishing touch to the outside look of our home. We have received numerous compliments and people are genuinely shocked when we say what it cost. It also took no more than an hour to install and seal. Extremely impressed that it has had to deal with storm weather almost constantly and we live on the south coast!

Disappointed!
Very awkward to build. Not easy to assemble. Not worth the money. Came out of grooves due to wind when up. Only lasted few days. Had ro rebuild it with additional screws and sealant to keep in place. I wouldn’t recommend.

Good but slight issues
Installed this and despite some negative reviews found it great. BUT, then we had some very high winds and despite staying in place the two sections popped out of the central retaining strip. Took it down, cleaned it up and ran some super glue into each side on the joiner. Great fix and rock solid now even with the recent storms.

Looks good constructed, but needed care to put it together
once constructed, feels quite sturdy. took several goes at getting pieces together properly, and several pairs of hands.

The large version is very flimsy
Looks ok with the joiner but then the wind came and the joiner becomes the weak point at which the panels came out. I'm going to refit using super glue.Cheap and nasty.

Value for money
Looks really good, easy to install but you have to glue the sheets as the wind will blow it up
