UPFRONT: I highly recommend this device (Armor 26 Ultra Walkie-Talkie).The Armor 26 Ultra Walkie-Talkie is not your average cell phone; it is a specialized device suitable for use in outdoor harsh environments. As a previous owner/user of the Armor 3WT (which I was very happy with), I decided it was time to upgrade to a newer phone.As a ham radio operator who participates in emergency communications (ARES), I find this device extremely helpful because it operates on both UHF and VHF frequencies, additionally it is DMR capable. I can reach a UHF repeater 26 miles away, a GMRS repeater 15 miles away, let alone all the VHF repeaters in the local area. The most important thing to me is that I do not have to carry a separate radio with me, because now I will have the ability to always communicate, all in one device.Some reviews have indicated that having two separate antennas (one for UHF & one for VHF) was a bad idea. These reviews fail to consider the need to have a properly “tuned” antenna for the best efficiency and SWR within a frequency band. I appreciate the foresight in providing that ability. That is why I can reach a UHF repeater 26 miles away. The optional holster allows you to carry both antennas.The other negative reviews are regarding the weight. Again, they fail to understand the need for a larger battery when operating a two-way radio. Transmitting (talking) takes more power than when just receiving (listening), so a larger battery allows for longer talk time. This is important during emergency operations.The only problem I had was with Verizon as my cell phone provider. I had Verizon for many years due to their large coverage area. However, when I moved my SIM card from my Armor 3WT into the Armor 26 Ultra, the data stream worked, but not the voice. After many attempts dealing with Verizon technical support and with Ulefone technical support, it was determined that I would have to change carriers to T-Mobile. After changing to T-Mobile, as recommended, everything worked perfectly.Lastly, I want to thank Ulefone customer service and technical support for their help and understanding in helping me resolve my issues with the “no cellular voice connection” with Verizon. They went beyond my expectations for the time spent helping me. What impressed me was the personal interest shown to me as a customer.

I sometimes hike with an Armor 18. Although Ulefone has a carabiner type of case that protects the phone, the holster works better for me. It keeps the phone out of the way while allowing easy access when needed. The cutaway design makes it easy to maintain gps signals.I can use it for other devices so it works well when I want my hands free.It seems well made to last with the weight of a rugged phone.

Using this with my Ule 26, which is a heavy beast of a radio, so it's a comfortable perfect fit in this holster. Great stitching, heavy duty, comfortable wear. Can be worn vertical or horizontal.
