My wife just bought a brand new car, and 30 days later, the check engine light came on, and because of her busy work schedule, she was not able to take the time off to take it to a local dealership. And she was all worried about driving it with the check engine light on.So, I ordered this on Amazon, followed the instructions, hooked it up to the OBD port under the dash, scanned for the codes. Only one code showed up. I searched that code online, and found the problem!Lose gas cap (she had just filled it up that day!)This little device saved me the time, trouble (and probably the embarrassment) of having to take this car back to the dealer, and wait and wait for them to look at it, (and probably charge me for doing that) all because of a lose gas cap. Well worth the investment into this. Its easy to use, very nice screens which are easy to follow, and allows you to clear the codes once the problem is diagnosed and corrected.

Large easy-to-read screen, the blue screen fonts actually easier on the eye than more expensive color screen scanners. Also like the button layouts, makes sense where “ok” button in the center (many other brands button were awkward)Connects to system quickly, has all the standard-basic OBD2 scanner functions, the battery tester was bonus. This computer scanner is a great buy to have in your car. Anytime check engine light comes on simply plug it in and it reads the codes. The only problem I seen was it works with the car battery so as soon as you unplug it shuts off. So take pictures or write down the codes.

Bought it to test car battery to determine if a battery replacement was required. No issues with the battery but it's over 6 years old. This confirmed that the battery is in good condition and I will likely hold on to replacing it prematurely. All else is a bonus when required in future.
