I returned the first torque wrench due to what I believed to be a problem with accuracy. Using the open-end adjustable wrench attachment, when compared to three other click-type torque wrenches (known to be accurate), the Marsram Digital Torque Wrench over-torqued by approximately 20%. I requested and received a replacement only to find exactly the same issue with the second wrench; 20% over-torque at peak. Because the torque wrench accepts four different attachments, different attachments will change the length of the handle (lever) resulting in a change of applied torque. I wondered if the wrenches are calibrated based upon the handle length alone, without the attachment variable. In an attempt to achieve the desired torque, I used the “Nobar Torque Wrench Extension Calculator” (Android application). Using the app, I adjusted the torque setting to a recommended value that compensated for the longer handle length, when using the open-end adjustable wrench attachment. The result, perfection! The wrench indicated “peak” at exactly the desired torque. In this case, a desired torque of 50 ft-lbs. was achieved with a recommended wrench setting of 40 ft-lbs., as calculated by the “Nobar” application. The torque wrench appears to be a quality product. The option of CW and CCW rotation is a real plus in some situations. The battery cap is a problem; design could certainly be improved.

Picked this up as I wanted to make sure I had proper torque on a muzzle device. The battery compartment is a little quirky to work with even with the arrows lined up. Otherwise, it functions great. The case holds the adjustable wrench head and looks like it will hold a socket head too. Will need to look at picking one of those up to have on hand. Controls are easy to work with to change through units of measure as well as to dial in the "torgue weight".

Used this item for hvac fittings etc and button layout is fine and easy to understand. I verified it on some already torqued items and within tolerance. So that is great So areas for a design change are the head. I emailed the supplier on it and received an answer, thanks, but they should make the tolerances on the head to wrench tighter or reduced. Too much slop. As others stated the battery cap well sucks but is works and not what people think to open. Is is a quarter turn but not easy to align. Lastly the adj screw on the head is again sloppy. I have many other adj wrenchs that are way smooth and not snap-on or matco so it can de done at low cost. Very good wrench about could be super great with some design revisions. And done at super low cost and minimal labor hours.

This is a good torque wrench. Love the ease of settings. 4 star is only because I'm having trouble at times getting the head to lock on. Frustrating when it keeps pulling off every time I need to take it off the nut. It's supposed to lock on by the spring loaded pin but ...

Worked as needed. Seems accurate compared to another calibrated wrench I compared it to on a more accessible bolt.
