Missouri MeerschaumCountry Gentleman Corn Cob Tobacco Pipe - Bent Bit

These are great pipes. I own two of these and have one with a straight bit. They are cheap, easy to maintain, and have a solid, heavy feel to them. I would recommend these to a friend who is thinking about pipe smoking.

Just a quick review. These dropped down to a good price (about eight clams each?) so I bought three to have on hand if a friend shows any interest in picking up a good habit of pipe smoking.For the money, a corncob can’t be beat. You might find a better smoke spending more, but you will probably find plenty of more expensive pipes that are not near as good, and I seriously doubt that you’d ever find a less expensive pipe that smokes better. Cool and dry—the corncob absorbs moisture well—and it’s not too heavy, but heavy enough that you feel like it’s a real pipe, and not a toy. The finish is even a bit overboard, if you ask me. It’s a bit fancied up, which to me takes a bit of the charm away from smoking a corncob. But don’t take that the wrong way. It still looks like a corncob. I love my corncobs. Not counting these three new standbys, I have two or three others in different places, just in case.Buy a few just to have one in each car, and in each jacket pocket.

Great quality and very fast delivery. This pipe smokes very well, and looks great. Large bowl allows for a nice long smoke. I would definitely recommend!

I always wanted a corn cob pipe. I love the bent stem the best. The bowl is pretty, but a bit heavier than I'd like. That is why I had to give it a 4 star. It is a pretty pipe, regardless. However, the pipe still smokes well.

This is what I settled on for my first pipe. I wanted to try puffing on some tobacco on the porch after work and letting my thoughts roam. Being made of corn cob I expected it to feel as light as paper mache but it actually has as much weight to it as wood does. The pictures doesn't let you see that it actually has a bit of a glossy finish to it so you can't quite feel the comb texture. Taking the black bit off was hard and you have to be careful to pull at the stem and not the bowl so you don't break it. It came with a filter inside that was pretty simple. I expected this to be a throwaway pipe until I got something "Good" but now I see myself putting that off a bit longer since this is way better than I expected. Would recommend as a first pipe.

Just received the Missouri meerschaum country gentleman corn cob pipe and smoked it for the first time, it was great, a pleasure to smoke. Very happy with this pipe and will add it to my growing collection of corn cob pipes.

Pipe broke within the first month of ownership. they glued the stem to the bowl so when it heats up to much the pipe breaks.
