I received the MAONO microphone boom arm from Amazon at no cost, and no parties have influenced how I should write this review. All opinions expressed are my own.My review is based on six criteria:1. After testing it for over a week, I am pleased to say this boom arm is sturdy, flexible, stable, and aesthetically pleasing. It securely holds my microphone with its large table clamp, and adjustments to my microphone position are smooth and precise. This boom arm is designed to support high-end microphones, ensuring that your audio equipment is well-protected. For functionality, I give it a 5.Design:One of the standout features of this boom arm is its internal springs, which make adjustments silent and enhance its overall sleek appearance. The large table clamp adds an extra layer of security for the microphone, reflecting thoughtful attention to design details. I give the design a 5.Quality:Constructed from alloy steel and metal, the boom arm has a solid, durable feel. This product seems built to last. For quality, I rate it a 5.Ease of Use:The boom arm is ready to use straight out of the box with no complicated assembly or wiring required. The user manual is straightforward, and I had the table clamp set up in about two minutes, allowing me to start recording immediately. For ease of use, it is a 5.Durability:Although I have only recently started using the product, the build quality suggests it will be long-lasting. I think that this boom arm will hold up over time, but I will update my review after six months of use. For now, I assign it a 4 for durability.Value:The BA37 sits in the middle of the MAONO boom-arm price spectrum. I would not choose a less expensive model, as the BA37 internal springs and larger table clamp offer a superior look and functionality. On the other end of the spectrum, I found the $80-$90 MAONO boom arms less affordable for me, a non-professional. BA37 is a good balance—it provides the functions of a MANO boom arm at an affordable price.There are cheaper boom arms on Amazon with similar designs, but I cannot speak to their quality compared to the BA37. If you are investing in a reliable boom arm, this product offers excellent value. I rate its value a 5.Recommendation:With an average score of 4.8, the MAONO BA37 is a highly recommended purchase.

We bought this for our son for Christmas he loves it!

My package never delivered then I sought out this and found it locally.This arm is absolutely horrible. I even had to tighten things to hold the mic from the same company (great btw) and it still falls. It's almost broke my laptop.Outside that it doesn't adjust well. No twist options it's just straight forward arm.It is horrible to get it lined up and the base is so stupid with the big obstruction.Do not get this arm mic! . It would be better to hold it even with gaming.Mic fire 400 btw this arm just sucks. I feel this company just out sources things and slaps a company logo on it.

I recently moved to a studio style mic and wanted to give a mic boom a try so I can quickly move it out of the way when not in use. This boom is very well made and the simplicity of it makes it perfect, as others I have seen had multiple spring that were visible and this boom give a very minimal look. The boom is very easy to assemble and set up and even provides great cable management.

I really wanted to believe in this product. MAONO is a legit brand. But, this mic-arm is likely a 3rd party arm that they just slapped their name on. I appear to be the first purchasing reviewer that WASN'T incentivized to "just leave a positive review". aka "Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product". And even some of those people said they were shipped damaged or bent arms. But here's my experience: It wasn't bent, and seems otherwise sturdy... however, the ad description presently here in Amazon claims this arm is sturdy for up to 2.5kg or 5.5lbs mic-attachments. My mic is one pound, and I have a shock-mount that only weighs .44 pounds. That whole setup is less than 1.5 pounds. The picture I've included in this review shows what they call the Boom Arm Knob. Its the small assembly at the tip of the arm where you attach the mic or the shock-mount and then the mic. I'm giving this just a 3 Star review because I had to over-torque the Boom Arm Knob to the point I thought the plastic knob was going to break. So, in a sense I feel they've really misrepresented this claim that it supports up to 2.5kg or 5.5 pounds, when the joint at the Boom Arm Knob kept drooping until I totally over-torqued the knob. Yes, I feel I've totally over-torqued the knob to get it to stop drooping under 1.5lbs of weight, but I have the confidence to say that having assembled and worked with similar products for 30+ years.

I own a couple single arm or single beam mic holders, and I appreciate the double rigidity from having two bars over one when it comes to the hinge point areas and articulationI actually have this companies, large diaphragm microphone, and their mixer, which works very well with high-quality audio and currently my son is borrowing it and uses it for his gaming and discordHe was using a standard mic holder that the 9 inch disc.
