What is the difference between the medium and large? Dimensions are listed as the same, but big price difference!

do you think this would be comfortable in a small camper van?

I purchased it for my niece who lives in a small apartment. I think it should fit in a van but maybe take the measurements and then measure the inside of the van first before purchasing the ottoman.

Can this be used as a couch without the extended back section? I want it to be pushed up to the wall. Thanks!

I put two together in the ottoman position and bought a nice quilt and pillow shams. I used the accompanying pillows as bolsters. It works well that way in my office

How well would this work for long term use? Id be using it as a bed and a sofa for most of the day and i need something that can downsize.

I cannot answer your long term use question very well, as I have yet to sleep on it. I can only give you an out-of-the-box answer. The sofa/sleeper is very firm. You may have to add a piece of foam or memory foam to make it comfortable. That is my plan for the item if it turns out to be too hard. In terms of folding up into a small ottoman, it certainly fits that need. If by downsizing you mean a peice of furniture that can act as a muti-function piece of furniture, this will work. Hope that helps a little.
