Large tiles, nice weight to the tile; easy to see the details. Numbers on each tile also helpful. Case may not hold up but I don't expect it to. Great set for us as "older" beginners. Price is good, green tile back is a beautiful color.

Okay. Right off the bat. I'm just gonna' say it... This review needs 2 categories it's rated on. 1)The actual tiles. 2)The case That being said, this entire package was $65.00.... for full almost sized Chinese Mahjong tiles... the type my grandma and all her friends played with when I was a kid. She played with 40mm tiles. These are 38mm. So my final star rating was price to tile. Now the details... Tile Price to quality? 5. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This entire case clocked in at almost 14 pounds! When tiles are that heavy. You know it's going to be pretty good quality. Look at the bevels on the corners. Nicely rounded but not too curved. The blue is like a baby blue. Which looks awesome on a dark play mat. One tile had a little scuff on it I can't get rid of. But then I remind myself... This entire set was $65. The inside case liners... ⭐Terrible. They're probably going to break before tomorrow. So flimsy. Not sure how long the outside case will last. But be prepared to have to replace or 3D print new tile inserts. You can see the inside was already delaminating at the edges and I just took the tiles out. The outside feels like the equivalent of something cheaper than a trapper keeper from the 80s. It's a thin plastic or vinyl and probably filled with a thin cardboard box (a pizza box feels more sturdy) EDIT: after 2 weeks... the inside red liners are now useless. Had to have my cousin make 3D printed boxes to fit the case. Eventually this case will go too... For an extra $5 they should have put quality inserts and make the case just a little more sturdy. One star for the case. And finally the video with the sound... These tiles do not sound or feel cheap. This is them on the battlefield using a 35 inch play mat

These are larger than the regular Chinese Mahjong tiles. They're great quality, nice heavy weight tiles, and beautifully painted engraved faces. I really love this set! They're beautiful! Please be aware that this set has zero jokers but comes with 2 blank tiles. I bought this set before learning about American Mahjong and sent them a message asking if I could get joker tiles. They were kind enough to send me 8 jokers, I had to pay for their very reasonable shipping fee. I am very happy with this set!

A VERY nice set of complete Chinese Mahjong tiles! I really enjoy the extra large size. Excellent and attentive customer service. Easy to contact and very responsive. Would buy again.

This mahjong set is advertised as “extra large,” but the tiles measure about 37mm (1.5 inches), which is smaller than another set I purchased recently that was 40mm (1.6 inches). In my opinion, this should be labeled as “large,” not “extra large,” which feels a bit misleading. That said, the tile quality is excellent. The surface is smooth with a nice luster, and the printing is clean and accurate—no color issues or ink imperfections like I experienced with my previous, larger set. Even though this set is slightly smaller, the overall finish and craftsmanship are much better. One of the main reasons I chose this set is the numbers printed on the tiles, which are very helpful for teaching family members how to play mahjong. This feature makes learning much easier. The only downside is the tray. It feels flimsy and not as durable as older mahjong sets from the old days. However, considering how heavy mahjong tiles are, it’s most likely the tray was damaged during shipping(dropped) rather than being a manufacturing defect. Overall, despite the size being smaller than advertised and the tray quality being below average, I’m very happy with this purchase because the tiles themselves are perfect. P.S. I ended up throwing away the trays and buying a plastic container for my mahjong sets. Thank you for dropping by.

I originally purchased a Chinese set but wanted to start playing American Mahjongg and didn't want to buy a whole new set. I was more than satisfied with my original purchase. I reached out to the vendor and asked if I can get some extra JOKER tiles to complete it. They responded the very same day (Sunday) and within a few days my tiles were in my mailbox. And all for the price of shipping only! Class act

This is a beautiful mahjong set. I love that it comes with larger 1.5-inch tiles—they’re easier to handle and see during gameplay. I also specifically wanted tiles with numbers, which makes it much easier for my family and me to identify the character tiles. I’ve owned multiple mahjong sets, and this is by far the best one. The price is also cheaper than the other sets ive purchased in the past. The case is higher quality and more durable than others I’ve had, and I really like the dragon design on it, it’s a nice touch. Another big plus is that this set includes instructions. My previous sets didn’t come with any, so it’s great to finally be able to learn different ways to score and win. you won’t regret buying this set. I am going to try to purchase the other colors in the future and no i am not being paid or recieving anything for this review. This is my honest review. Lol

The instructions could’ve been better “translated”. In the end, I had to lookup the instructions online and found various styles. The carry case was cheaply made. For the price, I expected more.

Great Mahjong set. The tiles are big. I am new to this game, so one of the reasons I chose this set is that the tiles have numbers in the upper corner and this way are more recognizable (which is also great when you introduce the game to friends). Also I like the fact that the designs on the tiles are more colorful than most others on the market. That’s just a question of esthetics, changes nothing to the game. The chips are pretty cheap, the carts holding the different sets of tiles are flimsy, and the case is not top quality, but I knew that after reading the reviews and when I bought the set. What made me decide to choose this mahjong set over other sets are the tiles and the price of the set. As a beginner and for a first set, I think this is a great choice.

Good price. Well packaged. Its still not the biggest size and there's some cracks on some tiles, bit annoyed but it will do

Case is not sturdy(be careful do not carry by the handle) but the game pieces are perfect

Pictures don't capture the vibrant colours. In person, the tiles pop with colour and they feel great in the hand. Excellent price for a starting Mahjong set. It came with am instruction book, and I loved it so much that I made custom copies for the family. Thank you for the tiles. I hope at some point you sell jokers, so that we can expand our gameplay!
