I was looking for an oversized king comforter to replace my current one.First if all this thing is huge! It 100% hangs way over the edges of my bed. No fighting for the comforter. It's not a big abd fluffy but it is comfortable. It's heavy enough to be warm but breathable. Not heavy but not Feather light either. No issues with machine washing either.I love it!

I love how big this Alaskan Comforter is. It covers our king mattress and box spring plus. I bought the charcoal and a white. It is comfortable and soft enough too. Seems well made, I only wish it came in more colors. Just a note, it would be too big for a queen size bed, even if you are looking for extra coverage.

I have a cal king bed and nothing I have covers the mattress all the way. I ordered this since it was so cheap just to cover up the sheets, but it is way better quality than I expected for the price. It came super compressed so I threw it in the dryer and it fluffed up nicely, not nearly as thin as I thought it would be. I don't sleep under it (I have a separate blanket for that) so I can't tell you if it's warm or not but it is probably just as good as more expensive and smaller comforters.

I’d never heard of an Alaskan King… we have a modest sized queen bed that we’ve been buying standard king comforters for for years. Between a blanket hog and a 100lb clingy pup I, the husband, am left with lots of skin hanging out. This MONSTER of a blanket nearly touches the floor on both sides and even the foot of the bed! It’s thin enough that I’m not sweating, the fabric is okay enough. Haven’t washed it yet to see if it gets all weird afterwards. Main thing is I too now have blanket to sleep. It looks strange being so huge on our bed but function over aesthetics for this one!

Giving each side of the bed blanket to be covered. Otherwise we are pulling the blanket to stay covered. All the othe king sized blankets, or covers only had one and a half squares on each side; which is not enough, plus the tossing and turning. The coolness is perfect for us, once it gets colder adding another cotton blanket will be perfect for the winter. l also like that it is almost to the floor.
