AmazonBasics Classic Notebook, Squared - (130mm x 210mm) - 240 pages (Black)

This notebook is better than expected! CONS: - Textured, thin paper not suitable for fountain/rollerball/inky pens and markers. - At 350rs. I find this notebook a little expensive. An appropriate price according to me would be around 300 rs. PROS - The notebook is very portable. Even after having 240 pages, the notebook is thin and light, has an elastic which keeps the book intact while carrying around. - paper is awesome for usual writing, journalling or planning or whatever. If you do not use artistic supplies and just need a jot book, please go for it. - The grid lines are really really nice. I was very skeptical about the grid to be too dark and distracting, but it is false. The grid lines are really nice and light, basically not distracting at all. - Looks! It looks awersome ^_^ Classic black leatheritte cover looks very nice! - Built quality is quite good. Bookmark ribbon, elastic closure, spine binding everything is good quality. It feels sturdy and shouls last you for years and years and years if you take decent care of the notebook.

THINGS TO LIKE: GREAT VALUE You'd do much better letting go of the pricey leatherette-jacketed diaries in lieu of this sober and classy notebook. At INR 400, it looks every bit as classy as the pricier competition. LEATHER-FINISH MINIMALIST COVER The hard cover has a rather premium feel, being layered upon with thin, quality leatherette that's black in colour. What is more, the hard cover is rather thick and firm, making the notebook an ideal travel companion. DECENT PAPER QUALITY and QUANTITY If not outstanding, the paper quality does justice to the price. 250 fairly thick sheets in classic yellow tint are welcome at the price. I'm fond of fountain pens and those, too, with a bold nib. The page thickness does well to only allow a very slight imprint to seep over to the under-surface, making writing and reading legible on the nether page. NICE LITTLE BITS: (a). integrated bookmark & Elastic closure (b). Expandable inner pocket ANY LETDOWNS? Only one, really: packaging related. I'd request Amazon to ship the notebook with an outer boxing. Merely wrapping in transparent cling film has (as would be expected) led to the edges getting slightly squished and marred in transit. My Kevin Danny has been with me since 2017 and has been regularly used. I love it. I purchased the Amazon basics one to see I'd like it more than the Kevin Danny one. So far I can't decide which one I like more. Amazon basics one is more compact however I feel it's very closely ruled. Makes my handwriting a little cramped. I guess I'll get used to it. It's very sturdy and machine cut so the edges don't look wonky like they did in my Kevin Danny. Overall I feel it's value for money. The only significant difference is the size. If you have any kind of specifications about size that may help you decide which one you want. Everything else is pretty comparable.

Good product for productivity, daily writing

Hi everyone. I am a regular journal writer and I need a diary with me at all times to keep notes of my ideas and anything I wish to put in to my handwriting. I do not stick to one kind or brand of journal for writing. But in general my requirements from a journal are same. 1. It should have simple pages and hardcover or paperback- anything is fine. 2. Excellent Page quality is a MUST 3. Binding should be perfect - pages shouldn't come, the diary must sustain my rough usage. 4. Most important - Ease of writing while keeping on lap or desk. Now what I mean by this - when penning down my ideas on the diary, my hands shouldn't hurt which happen in case of smaller diaries. Now coming to this particular product. I have given 3 stars, but actually wanted to give 2.5 Firstly. The diary meets all my needs except one. Ease of writing. Somehow I find it uncomfortable to write on it. My hands hurt while writing and this is a big reason why I will not buy this journal again. But apart from this, pages are excellent. The binding is great and black hardcover looks nice as well. Second drawback which I want to mention is that due to hardcover and tight binding, it is difficult to keep the journal open and write in the section close to bound region. This flexibility is usually present in paperback and I would recommend only a paperback journal if you wish to write comfortably with or without a desk. Hope it helps.

Bad product, no quality control. Bent edges, no properly lined pages and the paper quality is bad leading for ink ghosting. Binding is cheap. Amazon branded product with worst quality. Locally bought books would have better quality.
