Cheap plastic & we bought two guns, both defective, did not shoot. Useless & can't return
I would give this a zero, its cheap plastic like the Dollar Store. We bought two and both guns were defective and didn't even shoot one time. You have to manually load each little soft dart into each casing then insert each into magazine. Takes forever and then the gun doesnt't fire. We tried several attempts. It was bought early for a brthday gift and now useless since the birthday was after the return window. Oh well. Lesson learned. Do NOT buy! Waste of money

A nifty pew-pew toy for practicing some bullet-ejection contrl
This is a manual spring pistol - you prime before firing each bullet. It is cheaper than getting an airsoft revolver or pistol which does shell ejection, but you still get the feeling. The bullet ejection is not always smooth unless you pull it fast. Likewise, the slower you prime the receiver, the more likely it will jam. Comes with one magazine (fits 8 bullets), 16 shells that house darts, and about 20 red tipped darts that shoot decently well depending on how you put them into the casing. Bullets are about the size of a .22 cal bullet but significantly smaller, plastic-tipped with foam backs, and not as painful as a .22 cal. They don't fire far and can be a pain to shoot consistently unless you modify the shell casings for tighter fits. Make sure the projectiles fit snugly around the shell, and be aware they are a pain to load each round into the shell before loading into magazine and firing. Max range? 15 ft, assuming a parabolic curve to the shot? There is no safety switch on the side of the pistol, the slide is hard for kids under 11 to activate, and it is bulkier than the real m1911 is seems to be modeled after, and also bulkier than most airsoft pistols. But for a cheap toy, it is fine. The look is pleasing enough. Do not bring to airsoft fights, though. You will lose your ammo and your shells.

Jams constantly and slide is used for every bullet
It is good for its price, but jams constantly, it requires to pull back the slide per bullet, some bullets also don't fit the case.

Works like a charm
Safe functional version of the Colt 45. It's safe and a lot of fun. Just make sure you fire it somewhere where you can retrieve the little bullets. They really go! Pays to order alot, LOL.

Looks like a real gun...
no batteries required. it is very plastic-y and it definitely looks real but has some imperfections. For example, It has all of the things on a real gun BUT THEY DONT WORK. it is about the size of a real gun and shoots fast. It is fun but will break if you drop it.

Cheap garbage
Cheap garbage. Bought as a funny joke but neither work good, you get maybe 1 out of 10 shots to actually work. From constantly jamming before entering the barrel to the foam bullet never coming out of said barrel after you physically put each individual bullet into barrel to constantly jamming on ejection.
