The Small-Leaved Lime tree is native to limestone areas and chalky soils in England and Wales. The fragrant flowers attract bees in early July. Leaves are alternate and 1-3in long they are dark green and shiny on top with orange tufts of hair in vein junctions on the undersides. The stalk is not hairy. The timber is ideal for carving and turning. It is still used for sounding boards and keys of pianos and organs.The current height of the trees is approximately 30-50cm and they can be planted out all year round. Healthy plants and a good service.
These trees all arrived in very good health. We were one short and the company promptly sent us another. I'd definitely recommend them.

Smaller than expected
This was much smaller than I expected. I've planted it but it doesn't look too good at the moment. I would have expected it to be budding around now but it isn't.
