Easy Fix but adhesive not so good
My 15 year old daughter has autism and loves slamming doors, including the fridge. We just had to replace our fridge with another expensive one and she has showed it no mercy and was intent on peeling off the rubber seals that keep the icemaker cold which, unfortuantely, she accomplished. This lock was easy to install. Unfortunatley the adhesive did not keep it secured so my husband reinforced it with zip-ties. Otherwise we are very happy with it - it's doing the job and hopefully prolonging the life of the fridge!

Strap is not continuous
I thought that the strap was going to be continuous, wrapping around the pair of door handlebars.Instead, there are two separate pieces of strapping, each 3 inches long and backed with adhesive. The idea is to stick each piece of strapping to one of the handlebars. That might work, except that the adhesive isn't very strong. A little force is all it takes to separate the strapping from the refrigerator Also, I wasn't interested in "permanently" defacing the refrigerator with glue residue.Curiously, the strapping is made out of Velcro, but no provision is made for using Velcro for its intended purpose -- they have the loop part of the Velcro, but not the hook part.It might be possible to make this work by replacing the Velcro strapping with a regular, continuous piece of strapping. In case you're wondering how to change the combination, there's a button that is hidden when the clasp is closed. Once the clasp is open, you can see the button on the side. Press it while changing the combination.

Didnt stop a 6 yr old...just pulled it off
I need this to lock my fridge at night. I have a special needs son with extreme allergies. He will get up in the middle of the night and gorge in the kitchen. Its easy to put on but also to get off. My 6yr old ripped it off last night and got into the fridge.

Worked 1 day before I had to break into it.
We were happy to get this item quickly. It appeared to function effectively. I changed the combination. Had my husband try it a few times, it was working perfectly. We attached it to the fridge. It worked great all afternoon and evening. First thing this morning I had to cut it off the fridge. The combination was hard to turn on 1 of the digits, and no matter how many times I fiddled with it, even with the combination correct, it would not open.Great concept, poor execution.

Works perfect.
I bought this because my kids would snack all day and at meal times not be hungry. So we spread out the snacking with individual snack bins and locked the pantry and fridge. Now our food lasts and they do not have free rain, lol. Serves its purpose and works great. Thank you.

Snacks are life.
Finally found the solution to my youngest son’s MacGyver skills of breaking into the fridge! We have tested them all. ALL. Baby brands from big box stores are a joke, plastic ones break, other adhesives were easily popped off with a butter knife (he’s also the master of distraction- makes a mess out of view of the silverware drawer so he has enough time to looks for tools.) TRUST ME if you have a shiesty toddler/preschooler, this is the lock you need. This bad boy has been installed on my fridge for nearly two years, it’s strength is still tested multiple times a day, and it’s not going anywhere.

Super easy and effective
We bought this to keep our toddler out of the refrigerator as he would go in, get whatever food he wanted, usually a popsicle, and then leave the door open lol. It has been very effective. He understands now how to open it, but because he doesn't have the height to reach it, he still can't open it. When he is tall enough, we will be able to start using the combination and then he still won't be able to get in the refrigerator without permission. Very effective and I highly recommend.
