X2 is download only
I ordered this knowing it was an import but this hadn’t bothered me given the switch is region free, however it wasn’t clear that the x2 legacy collection was only available as a download which are not region agnostic, so I can only play half of the content which is disappointing. Please make this clearer for future customers or on other similarly impacted products.

sheer brilliance!
When I was looking round for a new game to fill my time after completing Devil May Cry, I stumbled across this little gem. This game has everything you could possibly ask for; some stunning graphics and cut-scenes (just wait until you see trees swaying in the breeze!), tricky puzzles, and some really addictive combat. I found myself praying for more monsters and hellish demons after being able to finish a whole bunch off in spectacular fashion! Being able to knock down the enemies and dispatch them with your sword before they have chance to get up is most impressive! This game isn't just simply about 'hack 'n' slash', however, there are a few devilish puzzles scattered throughout that will get you really involved in the game. Finally a word on the sound. The makers of the game really got the atmosphere just right in my opinion, recreating that distinct 'feudal japan' sound. This games a real treat to play and if you liked Devil May Cry or Soul Reaver, you're gonna love this! 5 *'s!!!!!

Half the games are inaccessible
The Megaman X Legacy Collection 1 is supplied on a game cartridge. This is, presumably, fine - I didn't boot it up (for reasons that will become available), but it did show up on my Switch home screen. Megaman X2Legacy Collection 2, however, is supplied as a download code in the box... And the code doesn't work. I double-, triple-, and quadruple-checked the code to make sure I'd typed it in correctly. Then I figured I may just be missing something, and put the entire code in from scratch again. Then I double and triple checked that. It was right, exactly as provided... and it just kept giving me a "This software is unavailable" error. Looking at the other reviews here, it's clear this isn't an anomaly or some repeated mistake on my part... the download codes in this set just do not work, at least for UK/EU Switch accounts. That means this set, in practice, is only half the games it's supposed to be - Megaman X 5, 6, 7 and 8 cannot be downloaded or played. You definitely should not buy this set.

Capcom shows arcade perfection
Having seen screen shots for its preview, I could only compare the awe-inspiring graphics to the latest arcade games that so put a burning hole in my school trousers. For so long did we have the standard that computer and console games could not equal the power of a coin operated arcade machine. Yet when I played Onimusha Warlords all these memories of anticipation and Xmas present-opening came back. I will try and explain: Firstly, the graphics. The title sequence sees the PS2 really flex it's movie muscles showing characters with near real expressions and complexion, and battle scenes that leave you wondering how long did it take to even conceive an idea. Plus with many games having a mind-blowing intro, the main game graphics are no let down but prove how much work has gone into this title. The second encounter for the main character within the game is still my favourite - those skeleton warriors. Other charcters can only be treated with 'rabbit in the headlights' syndrome watching their movement (until its too late!). All in all this is real eye-candy and you can see where the £10 million budget went. The second arcade feel comes in the guise of the Gameplay. Whoever programs this at Capcom is a genius. Every slash, cut, stab and slice is accurately communicated between controller and character leading to total player satisfaction. With easy to use controls, putting in that final killer stab and removing the sword from an enemy's guts puts the biggest grin on your face. As well as the fighting, the main character needs the spirit energies of defeated enermies to keep living (long story!) so the character has a mini-vacuum cleaner to suck up those spirits. As well as the satisfaction from the controller response, the games depth comes to light as there are different kinds of spirit that go towards replenishing your character's health, magic and orb power. Now the downside: The game's life leaves you thinking 'I want more, alot more!' - almost a victim of its own success. So much effort has been put into the visuals, sounds, and gameplay that a good games player can have it polished off in days. By comparison to Capcom's other close related success, Resident Evil, Onimusha Warlords only has a little more than half the game life. Maybe O.W.2 will deal with these small nagging problems which, like in all product development issues, will become more important to the games player. The only thing left to complete the 'true arcade experience' would be to build a cabinet with blinker vision side panels, plant a telly in it and your PS2 and hey-presto, no distractions like your girlfriend nagging "go through THAT door" and "don't fight him!" but instead a personal experience which transports you to medieval Japan.

onimusha - superb!
first the good points - Onimusha is an excellent game with amazing graphics, effects and is very playable. The levels are well put together and you get a sence of urgency when trying to find keys to open doors or ways to progress to other parts of the game. The game itself has lots of cool features, most enjoyable is the dark realm bonus stage, a great idea. Now the bad points - It only took me 4 days to complete and i didnt use any guides or tips from magazines. Those players who have completed any of the tomb raider or resi evil games will find this very easy, apart from this the game is awesome fun and im still playing it to uncover all the secerets. It does keep you coming back for more. Its one of the best games out for the PS2.

Incorrect information and YOU CAN'T PLAY THE SECOND GAME
On the information part says you get a disc for each collection, that is wrong, you get only one game card and a download code for the second part BUT when you read the information inside the box says IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO LEGAL U.S. AND CANADIAN RESIDENTS WITH A NINTENDO ACCOUNT, so whoever buys this in the UK won't be able to download it, that pissed me off and I was going to return it and ask for a full refund. There is a way to download it though, you have to create another account, using a different email address, and put that your country is the U.S, only that way I could play it and I kept it but I think it is better to buy it on the Nintendo eShop, it is cheaper and you don't have to create extra accounts.
