The copper as a cleansing agent part of this bottle is neat, and the design is gorgeous and sturdy, but if you get this for yourself or give it as a gift - just know that you're giving someone a project - lol. Here's why:They tell you that before the first use you're supposed to clean it (fine, that's standard) and then allow it to soak for 12 hours before discarding the water.Then for regular cleaning, it IS NOT dishwasher safe as claimed in the product info - instead they tell you to hand wash with non-abrasive tools using "a mix of hot water, vinegar/lemon juice, and salt." So you can't just handwash it like everything else, you'll need to make it a special little bath or something.Then to "unlock the full potential of your bottle" you're supposed to fill it and then leave it to sit for a few hours or overnight. You can't just fill it and run to the gym. You have to plan ahead.Also, you can only use filtered, tap, or still water. Nothing hot, no juices or carbonation, nothing acidic like lemon water, no coffee, no tea, no milk, and no essential oils.You also can't put it in the freezer.If I'd known it was this fussy I wouldn't have gotten it because with all that maintenance it's really more like a special use or decorative water bottle.However, if you're really into the health benefits of copper and you don't mind your water bottles being divas - this is the bottle for you. It's definitely beautiful, well made, and carefully designed.

This water bottle is really quite beautiful, and it came packaged very nicely as well - making the unboxing feel a lot more gift like than I had expected! The quality is excellent, and the instructions on cleaning before the first use were simple to follow.Time will tell if the touted benefits of drinking from a copper vessel are true, but this is a very nice water bottle regardless!

Only buy if you plan on buying multiple time won’t last more than a month or so

As a copper water bottle, this is alright, but not grand. It is mostly copper. The lid is actually a plastic with copper around the outside so there is plastic in contact with the water some. The tapered shape isn't bad, but the capacity is a little smaller than other bottles claiming the same 34oz. There's a non-slip pad on the bottom although the edges are already coming up.Unfortunately, the reason to choose this bottle over the others is that this bottle is purporting to also be a thing of beauty so long as one likes the pattern. That "brand" slapped right in the middle of the design with no effort to incorporate it into the design isn't some sticker that'll come off. It's printed with the rest. That sort of thing belongs on the bottom if it is there at all. Turn the bottle around to the back and there's no effort whatsoever for the pattern to match up and this particular pattern is particularly bad. The taper causes even more problems with this design.Honestly, the "enameled print" seems like a bit of paper entombed in some plastic overlayer. There's no ridge at the very obvious edge of the pattern. There are, however, sand grains are caught underneath it. There's one large one 1.5 inches up and several smaller ones below that. There's more scattered around above, but they are more common below.

This was better than I anticipated. The bottom has a felt covering of some sort so it doesn’t scratch anything it’s placed on. The bottle is wrapped and it makes it look so elegant. It comes with instructions for care. I have had copper cups before but I didn’t know until I read these instructions, that you shouldn’t use hot water, milk, juices , etc with copper as it causes it to tarnish. This bottle is upholding well and causes me to receive many compliments.

This is my first copper bottle so I don't have anything to compare it to. It does have a smell and apply a bit of a taste to the water you drink out of it. I got used to it, it was just new at first. It does keep water nice and cold, we had a few cold nights here and overnight the room cooled down and in the morning my water was refreshingly cold, so that's a nice plus. The bottle itself is pretty and the design is as expected/pictured.
