Q: any legitimate research on this product?

No, there is not. There probably will be in the future though, and there is good reason to think that these kinds of products could be helpful for certain diseases though. These things are unlikely to be harmful though, so it may be worth trying and seeing if it works for you. The only reason this supplement would work is if you don't produce enough enzymes on your own, which can happen in response to a bunch of different diseases. Also, 'legitimate research' would be any well controlled research rigorously executed with a large enough sample size, it would almost certainly come from an academic institution and be published in a peer reviewed journal. As Michelle points out, research by the makers of these supplements is unlikely to be 'legitimate', as they are incentivized not to control for placebo.
