Glad I got the XL
I know there are a lot of comments about the strap being too short, but it seems like that’s been addressed. I’m a 34 inch waist, and I have the strap tightened most of the way down. So you would have to be a lot bigger than me for it to be too small. Also, they included an extension with the bag that adds an extra foot or so. If you’re concerned about the strap being too small, don’t worry about it.As far as CCW compartment size, I’m really glad I got the XL. Right now I’m carrying a 4 inch compact PDP (roughly G19 size), and the XL is just the right size that I can cant the gun diagonally to draw it ergonomically. I imagine the regular size bag would be a really tight squeeze for anything that’s not a subcompact/microcompact. I would recommend the XL to anyone who doesn’t plan on carrying a very small piece. There’s not much that comes with this bag in terms of usable holster accessories, so I would definitely recommend getting something like the crossbreed Velcro holster molded to your particular piece that you can stick to the Velcro in the bag.The other two compartments in the bag are spacious and well thought out. Build quality is good. I’m glad that it doesn’t look overly tactical or scream that you’re carrying.Compared to my 5.11 fanny pack, this is more comfortable and distributes the weight against the body more so it doesn’t feel like it’s sagging. There are two zippers to get to the rear compartment. I would recommend removing the zipper pull that you don’t plan on using so it doesn’t get in the way of the other zipper pull. The only real issue I have is that the zipper sticks a little bit on the corners. I wish that had been addressed a little better in the design. Not a deal-breaker though. Overall it’s a great CCW pack. I like it better than my 5.11 pack for sure.

Just what I needed!
I needed a way to carry my pistol while walking my 2 German Shepherds. We have coyotes, javelinas and stray dogs in the area.I researched, sent 2 fanny packs back and found the Bando bag. It fits my Walther PDP Compact 4" barrel with red dot with room to spare. The elastic loop they sent to secure the pistol is less than ideal and does not cover the trigger guard which is a must.I had a Tenicor IWB Certum 3 holster that I could never get comfortable with. I added some heavy duty Velcro to the holster, removed the DCC clip and the cam bar and secured it to the hook and loop back panel of the pistol compartment. The holster is very secure and there is room to cant the pistol for a more natural draw. I should have room to add a spare mag on the back panel as well.I added a knife, flashlight, tourniquet and a couple of odds and ends including poop bags for the puppies in the other main compartment. I put some training treat in the small front pocket. The bag is very comfortable and drawing the pistol is relatively quick (always practice with an unloaded pistol). For me personally I would have liked the pack to be a little deeper. It is 3" deep but for me an extra 1" would make it perfect based on what I am carrying. Not enough to deduct a star though.Well made, light and unassuming.Would highly recommend for the price and quality.

A more carry friendly fanny pack
With the addition of a hook and loop holster it has everything you’d need in a CCW fanny pack. Meaning the elastic loop that comes with this was totally useless to me. It does come with your brand standard hook and loop felt board, where you can creat your CCW collage of choice. I have worn this pack now on a handful of runs and hikes varying from 3 to 9 miles. It is amazing how mundane to just plain poorly most CCW or EDC gear actually performs under real street conditions. This pack is ok, which sets it head and shoulders above 90% of products out there. It is capable of holding all the gear I run with including a compact baton, that most other firearm centric rigs seem to struggle with. I place this in the large elastic loop in the top of the second pocket, where I believe the designers must have intended a large magazine or radio to be placed. With this set up there is still plenty of room for magazines, speed loaders etc in either the second or third pockets along with space for a phone, keys and so on. In the first pocket there is a tag with a warning about the incorrect use of the bag with a loaded firearm, so keep in mind, this bag DOES NOT have an integrated holster. Things I wish this bag had: A usable hook and loop holster, a set of access tabs for the firearm compartment, an anti creep clamp for the strap as it does loosen with continuous activity, an elastic shock absorbent component to the strap for use while physically active, and ambidextrous zippers on the second and third pockets. This last item I find especially annoying as a southpaw, but also if you cannot operate any piece of gear ambidextrously it simply isn’t tactical gear. Anyone who has walked around a left corner and a right corner should understand this fairly well… Anyway, this is a durable pack that is capable of carrying everything I would want to run around with in moderate discomfort without developing raw patches and blisters.

Great waist pack for someone loving the first version already.
Everything is awesome with this pack. I have switched to a one pistol carry; so my comp, target and EDC are one pistol. I needed room and features to fit a few things and a full size pistol in with no cramping being able to open the back zipper. In the black on black, the rear zipper is very unassuming and somewhat not apparent which I like. I EDC a Glock 45 with PPM ultra comp so just a touch longer than a G17. I have a surefire light and micro red dot mounted as well. This bag fits it all as well as an a tea mag in the middle pocket designed for tourniquet. I have tried 6 packs so far and this fit the bill perfect. Two other contenders were the 945 designs (1” shorter and did not open fluidly with my specific set up) and the vertx SOCP which was awesome but the strap would not hold tight which was a fail, but otherwise great if you could figure that one out.

This is a large durable fanny pack that is suited to conceled carry in my opinion.
I bought this Eberlestock Bando Bag XL - Tactical Men's Fanny Pack for concealed carry during the hot summer weather when shorts and T shirts make it hard to carry anything anything that really suits the purpose of protection.I didn't want anything that looked tactical, and I didn't want it to stand out in a crowd. I also wanted something that would go with different casual summer clothing. I wanted something light weight and water resistant as we are subject to rain and thunderstorms just about anytime in the summer. I wanted it to be durable but not stiff. I didn't want it to be to big or bulky, but big enough for a G 19.This bag larger than I was expecting, but it's a great bag and I will use it more for hiking or walking trails in the woods or mountains, in cooler weather. It will accommodate a larger payload than needed for day to day task and errands in the summer time, but for the above mentioned purposes it will be great. It's a great looking bag and it repels at least enough exposure to rain to get from to or from the car if you happen to get caught. A G 19 fits with a lots of room to spare, even with a small light or laser mounted, with a couple of spare mags in the same compartment. I use a trigger holster/trigger guard anchored to the loop that was thoughtfully sewn into the lower left corner of the bag so I don't put anything in there except for the ccw. If you pull firmly when you draw it will disengage from the holster/guard. A Velcro elastic loop also came with the bag that you could use to hold a spare mag. The dual zipper slides allows unzipping and deployment with either hand. from either side. It has plenty of storage for a couple of mags, cell phone, wallet, small binoculars or whatever you like in the other to compartments. This will accommodate most duty or service size Semi autos easily.Hopefully the pics will put some of this in perspective. I'm glad I bought this bag even though it wasn't appropriate for my original intent. I would have bought a larger one soon anyway.
