Made my lawn plush in 10 days!
I purchased this product as my first attempt to regularly fertilize my back yard. I live in a townhouse and the HOA won't fertilize the grass. So weeds grow, grass gets rough and field stickers begin to dominate. So, in an effort to make plush grass around my rear porch (and defiantly show the HOA how caring for grass is done), I installed a dosing pump.I shopped around and came upon the NEWTRY dosing pump. There is a fancy plumbing diagram that includes pressure regulation and check valve... But my water feed line on the back porch comes from my townhouse and is filtered and pressure regulated. So all I had to do was install an anti-siphone / freeze spigot. The NEWTRY dosing pump worked great. All I had to do was fill a five gallon bucket with dissolved fertilizer and place the siphon tube in the bucket. I was counseled by a professional golf course manager to fertilize my grass every two weeks. So, for one hour every two weeks I used this pump and my grass became deep green and plush within a week and stayed that way. The healthy grass does not allow the weeds and stickers to grow. This NEWTRY pump made my lawn the envy of my townhouse property and might even encourage the HOA board to install these dosing pumps on the entire property sprinkler system lines. The service I received from Carrie at NEWTRY was excellent. Thank you.

Works well and the company stood behind one problem with one unit.
I've got two of these now. They work well and are easy to set. The ones I ordered are threaded for 3/4" NPT male. One of the units, when connected, leaked profusely. I had the unit for a while before I opened it up to use it so it was near the end of the return window. I opened the unit to find that the o-ring between the top and the lower body was broken. Instead of doing a last-minute return, I contacted the company via e-mail to ask about a replacement. They were responsive, asked for a picture of the damaged o-ring to confirm which one it was, and then sent me three replacements free of charge. That's only one experience with their customer service but it was a great experience. If it comes time to add dosers like this to our setup, I will buy more of these. They're far less expensive than the "big brand names", work well, and the one occasion I had to need customer service they delivered well.

Great value option
We've had this in use in our fertigation system for nearly 3 months.Initially, it sounded like death; around the 2.5 month mark it ceased operation and started pouring water out the bottom. Disassembly yielded a shredded O-ring - I'm not sure what these were initially lubricated with but it wasn't sufficient. Replacing the o-ring with a "close enough" match got it going again. It's held up to fairly concentrated citric and phosphoric acids with no other issues. That said, these are pretty easy to repair and maintain - have a couple extra springs, o-rings, and lube on hand for when it shreds an o-ring and you'll be set.

Junk
The product had issues right out the box. It didn’t work at all when I initially set it up, no output. I reached out to customer support and they forwarded a troubleshooting video. I took it apart, couldn’t see any obvious problems, reassembled it, and it worked, but took over two hours to empty a five gallon bucket. After the third bucket it quit. I’m returning it. I’m disappointed it didn’t work.

GR8 way to fertilize while watering!
The first one I bought leaked horribly through the bottom. Support was great and Cassie diagnosed a faulty check valve and sent me 3 replacements. I was very near the end of the return window so I opted to return the unit and have a new one sent. The new one works perfectly. This product makes it easy to fertilize regularly (something we've never been able to accomplish). Now we simply throw the Miracle Gro packets in a 5 gallon bucket, fill it up with water, stick the siphon in the bucket and turn on the sprinkler. Easy Peasy.

It's a good value, but....
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM UNLESS YOU ARE VERY TALENTED IN THE AREA OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.It comes with very weak instructions and a manual that was so poorly printed that it was almost impossible to read.It does come with an extra parts kit, but no diagram showing where the parts go.The first time that I used it, it appeared to work well; however, the valve on my hose sprayer got stick in the open position. I thought that maybe a chunk of fertilizer had gotten stuck in the valve. When I inspected the valve I found an O-ring had stuck there.Scratching my head, I compared the O-ring to the spare parts kit, and there I found an O-ring of the identical size.I disassembled the injector to find that in the mixing chamber there are two identical valves that work in sync during the operation. One had an O-ring and the other had a groove where an O-ring should have been. That was the problem; poor manufacturing QA.I had to disassemble the upper portion of the injector in order to replace the poorly installed O-ring.The disassembly process is not self evident and that's why I said that you should be very familiar with modern engineering processes, or you will not have success in maintaining this item.Overall it works as advertised, however, I don't think that it is the right product for long term commercial use.Think of it as a contractor grade tool that you buy at the big box store. It's good for one or two jobs, but after that it's worn out.I plan on using this to fertilize my yard and garden, so it should last longer than it would in continuous commercial use.Quality grade commercial products exis, but they cost many times what this item does. You get what you pay for.
