I got this to upgrade a little JBL Go 2 that I've had for a while. I wanted something with a better low end and bit more volume, and this absolutely delivered! It sounds great with decent bass for it's size. I did use the app on my phone to make a custom EQ setting, which helped the sound quality.For the price, this speaker is hard to beat.

For the price, this is an excellent speaker. It does not have the crisp highs or thunderous lows that my floor-standing Klipsch speakers have, but I wasn't expecting that. The sound is well-balanced, though and good for my purposes.

I bought the Soundcore 2s for $40, even though the regular Soundcore 2 is often on sale for around $30—and was at that price when I made this purchase. Both models are essentially the same speaker, with one key difference: the 2s version supports EQ customization through the Soundcore app and comes with a slightly better EQ profile out of the box.Now, does it sound 25% better for $10 more? That’s the real question. The truth is, bass is still limited. Even after adjusting the EQ—using guides from sources like Rtings.com—I noticed some odd frequency issues, especially in the drum kicks, that remind you this is still a budget speaker.For comparison, I tested a $25 Chinese-brand speaker with similar specs and wattage. The results? The Chinese speaker had similar bass response and loudness but had noticeably muddier mids and was duller sounding overall. With some patient EQ tweaking, the Soundcore 2s can deliver noticeably better bass and clarity. You just have to put in the time to dial it in.One downside: pairing this speaker with my phone consistently took about 5–6 seconds longer than the Chinese speaker, which was a bit inconvenient. In conclusion, I’d recommend the Soundcore 2s if you can find it on sale—especially around Black Friday or Prime day, or if you're a more discerning listener who enjoys fine-tuning frequency responses. With some effort, it can deliver solid performance for its size and price, but it’s not huge plug-and-play upgrade over the standard Soundcore 2 unless you're willing to tweak it. Up this rating to a 5/5 if you can find it on sale.

I have 800 music titles in my collection and always considered Bluetooth to be inferior to wired stereo systems. This small but big sound blew me away. I love its portability and bass boost. Small price to pay for a very satisfying sound!

Great sound, great bass, awesome BT speaker for the money. Have been, and always will be a fan of Anker… their stuff is amazing.

Used this for a time now. Works perfectly with really great sound. Connects easily to your phone.

The speaker sound is great as is all Anker products, BUT I wish I didnt have to keep turning it back on if I have an interruption of some sort. None of my other Soundcore/Anker speakers turn off when they have a power source connected. I literally have about 10 speakers that I have at home and work. This one issue is my only disappointment!!
