Well thought out design
Out of the box I was very pleased with the design of this. For starters, the cover seems to be great quality. I can’t yet speak to how water resistant it is but will update as it gets exposure. The design of the awning is excellent. It has two legs which fold in and make the process of dismantling very easy for one person. There are also two support bars for the sides that fold in, making this product very compact.I intended to mount it to my bed rack but it was too low so I went for my roof rack. The install process was very easy. I ended up using the longer bolts and the cross bar that it came with. The instructions are pretty bad but it’s fairly straightforward if you have a rack to work with. I will end up adding some additional bolts so it’s very secure but for now I’m confident in it. My initial worry was the assembly process with just one person but it’s perfectly manageable and even rolling it back up was very easy. The quality of the awning material is great and seems it may be a great help for camping. I love that the height of the legs is adjustable and the coverage area is excellent for one person. I am going to Joshua Tree this weekend where there isn’t much shade so I will really be able to tell how well it works.

Great value and now I have some shade!
Happy with this product so far. It was a really great price especially compared to many name brands out there. The awning was easy to set up, and I didn’t really even need the instructions.Hope it lasts at least a few years of use. I’m not sure how well it’ll handle some wind or rain, but I usually pack up things like this if the weather isn’t great.I loved the mounting brackets. They worked well with my roof rack.

light duty
I admit I bought on price. And it is worth what I paid. Not sure it will stand without using guide rope to stake it down to the ground.Kinda tough to set up with one person, but doable. great first awning

This is a good brand to choose
6.5x8' size. These all look to be fabricated by the same company so I picked this unknown brand and glad I did. The material is light but sturdy. Should last a good while. Installing on my rack required above average "handy" skills but turned out perfect. Be patient and don't rush. The cover keeps out water and dust. Doable deployment by 1 person but 10x easier with 2 persons.

Great for the price.
Works great. The included mounting hardware isn't great and you may have to buy a couple washers in order to mount to your specific roof rails, but I used what it came with. Set up/ tear down with one person is doable; with two, it's super easy. Takes maybe 90 seconds.

Budget friendly awning.
Got the 4 foot option. Easy to set up and break down yourself. Great option if you’re looking for a budget friendly awning. Used it once, held up good. Only time will tell how durable it is but I’m happy with my purchase.

Nice canopy
The description wasn't clear on the mounting options that came with the canopy, so I thought I'd show what's included and share my solution to others considering this awning. First off, as others have stated the canopy appears to be well engineered and sturdy. I purchased some sand bags to hold it town on the beach, I think it should work great for that purpose. As far as mounting goes, it comes with two short flat brackets and two longer L-shaped brackets. It's designed to bolt onto a rack or roof basket in a semi-permanent way, but I wanted to come up with some sort of quick-release solution. I used some track nuts I had on hand to secure the L brackets to the bottom of my roof rack bars. Then I attached the shorter brackets to the canopy's track with a few washers to space them away just enough to allow the vertical leg of the L bracket to slip in. This makes a snug fit, but the canopy can still be easily lifted on and off of the L brackets. I then drilled and tapped a hole in the short brackets for a grub screw to lock it into place. This way I can loosen two grub screws with a hex wrench and remove the canopy and roof racks in just a couple minutes.

Instructions are lacking
Awesome awning, but the instructions are very lackluster and not too helpful. I wish the manufacturer would add more videos or more detailed instructions on how to install on various racks. We figured it out but it took a lot of YT research and some adjustments before we had it safely secured to a van with small racks.Taking one 🌟 off for this. Other than that it's a great addition to my van journey.
