Nice machine at a good price
I purchased this laptop on July 2 and have been using it for a few weeks. It booted right up straight out of the box, setup was easy and it was ready to use. Screen is good, not fond of the keyboard (I much prefer discreet keyboards), mouse pad is responsive and it is fast. With several memory hungry aps running and several chrome tabs open switching between aps is very quick with no mouse or screen lag. Im not a gamer so cant comment on that. Battery life is several hours and recharges quickly. BUT the power adapter uses the only usb C port which is not mentioned in the specifications. I ordered a power supply with a barrel connection and problem solved. Over all I am quite pleased, it runs great, boots quickly, shuts down quickly and I have not had any problems at all.

Linux swapped machine
I tested the original Windows system before I removed it without issues and the laptop was quick to start up and under normal operation it functioned fine. It did appear to be an upgraded Windows 7 computer in the BIOS. Windows was only removed as this was purchased for work where I do "geek" computer things that Linux is easier to use.If you are looking for a solid laptop to use for Linux this machine is a solid choice. You will need to go into Windows and change a few settings to do the conversion to whatever Linux Distribution you decide to go with.Pro: It's a very sleek, slim, and fast computer for the price point. It has a ethernet connection point unlike most laptops anymore.Con: I am not a fan of the powercharger that was included and have it currently running off a docking station.Overall I will probably grab another one of these laptops for personal usage.

Great laptop for general use
I have been in technology for almost 50 years. in my lifetime I have used just about everything that computes, calls, calculates, shows time, and locates. I have used it, sold it, broke it, and repaired it, from mainframe computers to watches.I needed a new laptop, my old one was 10 years old but still able to run Windows 11. It's tiny and kind of slow, so I searched Amazon exhaustively for a new one and came across this, the 40GB RAM Ryzen 7 Lenovo.I've always been an HP fan but have used Lenovos before, they are always well built and last a long time. This one is probably the best I have seen. I'm not a PC gamer, so I don't need intense graphical speed, but I think the Radeon GPU can handle anything I need to throw at it, and the OS loads in less than 10 seconds. It's light, has a 1TB SSD which is enough room for me, and did I say fast? The RAM can load the whole OS.The keyboard is excellent, I don't need a backlit one, it has every key imaginable, even a side numeric keypad. It's light, VERY light weight, and the perfect form factor for me at 14". Best design ever.If you don't need a powerhouse for gaming, want to browse the Internet , do your taxes, watch videos, and maybe create a video once in a while, this laptop can do it all. People complain about the viewing angle and video, but I downloaded the latest drivers from AMD and I don't see a problem. It was shipped quickly even to my remote rural community, great seller. Two days.

Don't buy this Laptop, unless you already have a power adapter.
Lenovo has the worse customer support. Laptop was shipped with the wrong power adapter. Still do not have a power adapter for my new laptop. The original power adapter that shipped with laptop had the wrong input plug (type-c). Second power adapter sent had the right input plug (barrel type) plug, but the wrong power plug (UK not USA, I'm in California, United States) Third power adapter sent was just like the original one shipped with the laptop (type-c).Lenovo now emailed me saying "Unfortunately, the pin type adapters are no longer available. Currently, the only chargers we can provide are the USB Type-C adapters".

If clear viewing is your main focus, you may want to "look" elsewhere.
Decent laptop, good performance / solid specs. It is light in weight. Battery life is not very good and the screen is not of the best quality. it is blurry from different angles, it has to be properly adjusted in front of you for a clear view.

This is the best computer ever
I let time test this product a while, the computer is very fast and can handle a lot of data abuse going in and out. Its very light and looks light duty but It's not, it's a BEAST! tech gets smaller, but more powerful. I would highly recommend, I got a laptop for 4.7k and it never performed as well as this one.

A good deal
This is a great laptop that comes with lots of memory and capabilities. As some have mentioned, the display is lousy right out of the box. But by adjusting the hue, color, contrast, etc., using the display options in Lenovo app (download free) and Windows personalization settings, the display can be corrected.

Fantastic value & performance
This is overall great. The amount of RAM & Hard drive space was fantastic. It's super light, too. What I DISLIKE about it, but won't ding a star for it, is it is not touch screen & doesn't have a back lit keyboard. These things should be standard nowadays! Also, the ad shows a round 4mm charging port plus the USB-C port. But when I got the laptop, the charger was USB-C. This is a problem if you use a docking station or multi screen, which uses that port too. I wish it had an extra 2nd USB-C port, and also I had to spend extra $10 for an adapter to make the charging cord use that 4mm port, to free up the 1 USB-C port for my extra screens. I should ding a star for that, because it's basically false advertising. If your cord is USB-C, then say that in your ad, don't show diagram showing 4mm port & then send a USB-C cord. Charge an extra $10 and include an adapter & allow the consumer to use either port. But "overall" the amount of RAM, Hard drive & the CPU being I7 just makes this the newest top notch components. I feel I'll get great usage for years to come, so I will still give 5 stars. Hope this honest review helps buyers. (PS, get Amazon's extra 2 screen adapter & it gives you 3 screens and it's portable & AWESOME!)
