PlayStation PS3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller (Black)

I recently broke my controller that came with my super slim ps3. I had bought the ps3 from Amazon at Christmas and so asked Amazon and Playstation if the controller was covered as well as the console. I was informed within 1 hour of my email by Amazon that the controller was covered and I wouldn't have to return the console or controller as they no longer had the console in stock and I had added a hard drive and didn't want to return the whole thing. They informed me they had refunded £36.99 the cost of a controller onto the card used to buy the console. All this within 4 hours of writing to them. Brilliant service.After reading reviews about dodgy, fake controllers and other rubbish third party controllers I decided to play it safe and order direct from Amazon. As a result, I ordered at 4pm on Friday and receive it 8.30am Saturday, and it is 100% genuine.I recommend reading reviews and going for a genuine retailer. Pay the extra because as they say you get what you pay for. It's rare to get a real bargain if its not second hand. Don't go for third party retailers. I did with a laptop charger and got a cheap fake, exactly what I'd paid for at the price.Pay for the Sony quality, and what's more if it breaks again you have the 12 month warranty from date of purchase to fall back on, and judging by my experience, if you go for a genuine retailer like Amazon too, you also have the fantastic customer service and quick resolving of any issues too. Definitely worth an extra £10. If it breaks you can be sure to get a new one.

I actually purchased this controller to use for my PC games and now that I have it set up it works perfectly. It works wirelessly using a simple, cheap USB dongle and charges by just plugging it into the PC with a USB port. It's an idea PC controller. Of course I forgot that it wouldn't come with a charger cable as Sony expect someone buying this to already own a PS3 and a charger, which I did not, but because it uses a generic USB Mini B connector I was able to use one from an old MP3 player to connect it instead. The fact that it uses generic products as accessories makes it very handy to use as a PC controller instead of the Xbox 360 wireless ones, which require a special charger and wireless adaptor.

After searching and searching and having my doubts about some of the "Official" PS3 Controllers on sale from the marketplace, I decided to spend a few extra quid and order direct from Amazon. So glad I did. You can guarantee a genuine product. Whilst not all "Official" PS3 Controllers on Amazon are fake, I read enough reviews from other buyers from other traders on the marketplace that put me off. Some controllers not working, some having a mind of their own, fake packaging, poorly built and the list goes on. So I am glad I paid those extra couple of pounds as what I got was a genuine, fully working "Official" PS3 Controller. Amazon gave me that peace of mind that I needed and that assurance of expecting to get exactly what I wanted & paid for.Check out what both K. I scoured amazon for one of these knowing there are loads of fakes being sold , I came across this thinking this must be ok at the price and the seller had reasonable feedback, I WAS WRONG. the controller arrived in good time but when I opened the Parcel I found that the PS3 Packaging had been opened (the packaging was ripped) I took it out and there was no Instructions , no warranty card, and the back ID sticker on the controller was totally different from the one I received with consoll, so I went onto My Sony which I am a Member as I own many sony products as I swear by them as these guys really have thier finger on the pulse when it comes to electronic entertainment equipment, anyway I called sony customer support and asked if they could tell me exactly how the packaging should be, they asked me for the model Number and they were suprised to find that this one had a USA/Canada number as apparently they have different numbers for different regions which could explain the different ID sticker from My OEM one. they also assured me that this should be in a sealed Box with 1 warranty Card 2 instructions and 3 the support and contact sheet for sony worldwide. this came with none. they have also asked me to take comprehensive Photo's (with my Sony DSLR , lol) and e-mail them to their support with the link for the amazon ad included for there reveiw to see if this is actually a fake, now in all fairness to this seller sony could not at this time conclusively say whether this controller was or was not counterfeit and I am still awaiting their verdict (I will update Later), BUT the fact is , I did not receive a new unopened Item as it was described so to sum this up I will say this , the seller sent me either a Return, a Second hand controller or even possibly a Fake counterfeit controller . so needless to say it has been returned and I will now have to wait for my Refund as there were none availiable for replacement (strange, did they send me the last one or a naff return) so my advice is go to a high street vendor and pick one from the shelf , hold it in your hand and know what you are getting or you may just waste weeks messing around with dodgy sellers selling dodgy stuff to just go to a shop in the end anyway. is the few quid saving worth the assle. not for me.Hi All it is now 24 hrs later and Sony Support have replied giving thier verdict on this controller, here's what they said , you can be rest assured that the controller you purchased is a genuine Sony product HOWEVER it is a controller supplied and intended for the canadian Market and is NOT DESIGNED FOR USE WITH A CONSOLL SOLD IN THE UK AND WILL NOT WORK CONSISTENTLY. they have informed me verbally over the phone that if you sync this controller with a PS3 in the UK it will work UNTILL your PS3 updates and then the PS3 will block the controller and it will no longer sync (work) with your system, the reason sony international do this is because of the difference in Price's around the globe as sony has a global Market, I asked well why the difference in Prices ? they say its not sony but the govermental Tax differences that create the price differences. (which is understandable) so to combat bootlegging they simply match consolls to controllers in different regions. so there you have it AMAZON are allowing Bootlegging of products Tut Tut amazon. BUT at least this is a genuine controller albeit totally useless in the UK (well after a update that is) ..... hope this helps you all .... hope amazon take this on board....

: YES THE controller YOU GET IS FAKE but if you look close at the picture there showing in the box that is an original PS3 controller, an original controller as blue writing at the front middle top and bottom the one you get only as blue writing on the top plus it’s much lighter in weight then the original On the bottom of an original PS3 it will always have CECHZC2E on the right top side of sticker the one their selling does not, after that said this control is not that bad and plays very well but does not compare to original
