BlackBerry Curve 8900 Sim Free Smartphone

What a great little phone, technology may be nine years old but as a 69 year old techno dunce it suits me just fine. Only ever had basic mobiles before and I'm enjoying playing with this. Brand new and for a real bargain price. Superb deal - couldn't be happier.

Just got this phone, really like it, was delivered really quickly, however I'm on o2 pay as you go, which is why I bought sim free, but it does not allow o2 payg customers to access the internet or send mms messages which is the main reason I bought the phone so I feel really let down as it's alot of money to spend on something I can't use. I may have to switch to orange which I don't want to do and the only other option appears to be to be go on contract which I also do not want to do. Just a warning, sim free and unlocked do not mean the internet settings!! Beware, I find this very misleading, hence the 3 stars.UPDATE:There is now a blackberry PAYG tarrif available on O2.Trackball is annoying, sticks alot!

I strongly recommend people don't purchase from this Offers4U company!!I purchased the Blackberry 8900 at the end of October 2012 and within a week of having the phone I had to contact the company because the phone battery life was very poor and all the settings were in Chinese as though somebody previously had the phone (normally it's a step by step guide to set language etc when the phone is first turned on) yes granted they sent me out a new battery within 1-2 weeks and the phone worked ok.However a few months down the line the phone just stopped working all together all that would happen was the red light would flash above the screen, therefore having to buy a replacement as I am on contract. So I contacted the company for advice on my 12 month warranty as this was the second fault within six months of my purchasing of the handset whom tolled me the only option was to pay out another £25 for the phone to be sent back to them and fixed.Personally I think this is a disgrace and shouldn't be allowed so if you do happen to purchase from this company be weary of the `not interested' attitude and don't be fooled into more payments, my personal opinion would be to go directly to a phone shop its much better customer service and user friendly

This product is okay I suppose but it always freezes since the day it arrived. It is a good phone in all, but the button on the left doesn't work much

I have just ordered my second 8900 due to loss of my old one, it is so much better than the 8520, the screen is higher definition, the camera is better(the 8520 has a 2MP where the 8900 has a 3.15MP) etc. I had a 9300 for a while too that also pales in comparison to this phone even though it runs a newer operating system. I cant wait until the phone comes. I have never had a phone that i like so much!!
