GoFit Resist-a-Bar

I bought this as an alternative to the X3 bar and it has not been disappointing. I have no idea what the resistance ratings are for this bar, but I have pushed 300+ chest press using large climbing carabiners and wide flat bands and am at the end of week 3 now. The bar very slightly flexes, but doesn't challenge confidence. The grips are wide grip which is great for grip strength, but may not be suitable for small hands? I have average man hands (wear large gloves) and they are perfect for me. Update: used for a year or so off and on. If you want to use over 300lbs of resistance, this is not the bar for you. Bearings started coming out of the sides and the end pieces became very loose. It still holds, but I did replace the bar. This bar is great for less resistance.

This is a well made bar I intend to use it with bands. One piece for strength, cushioned rubber handles for comfort, swivel ends for easy use and comes with carabiners. Its heavy as well.

I workout daily at home, and use this daily. A note: the product has the large eyelets on the sides, and they rotate based on a ball bearing insert. I know this because on my first bar, that ball bearing came apart on one side (and the little bearings were all over the floor), and the eyelet came off. The other side was fine. I contacted the manufacturer by email, got an almost immediate reply, and they promptly sent me a new one. I am about 2 months in on the new one, so far so good. The bar itself is well made - a single piece, with nice rubber grips. The only issue is that ball bearing component that really takes the brunt of the workout. However, the manufacturer seems to stand behind their product. If this one fails I will drill holes through the tube and attach vertical eyelets, which will eliminate the need for the bearings. There must have been a reason they designed it this way . . . but I am not sure.

I use this with Bodylastics resistance bands = Perfect. Very high quality bar with band connections on the very ends, which allows for wide grip exercises. Nice rubber grip allow comfort and no slipping. Perfect for curls, tricep extensions, delt press, and many more. Worth every cent!

In my 30's I was using the bench bar (45 pounds) and adding a 45 and 25 pound weight on each side for a total of 185 pounds and curling 8-10 reps. Now that I am near 50 that's quite impossible, but been using this bar and have gotten some of the muscle definition and firmness back. It's quite sturdy, it feels great while curling and the ends with the included hooks rotate. I have been doing three sets of 15 with them twice a week with moderate to heavy bands, the first five are from middle to top curl, the second five are from bottom to middle position, and the last five are full range from bottom to top. Been seeing great definition and muscle thickness since started using this product and feeling great. Only con is that I wish it was a little bit longer in length so I could also use it for other exercises other then bicep.

I own this bar along with a ton of GoFit resistance tubes and accessories. It's a great alternative to the individual handles. I use it several times a week and load it up heavy with bands and have had no problems whatsoever. If I had any complaint at all it would only be me wishing that it was black and gray like the GoFit handles but that's just me being a baby. Get the bar, you won't regret it!

In no way shape or form am I fitness guru, just an average joe working out at home. That said, I love this for the resistance bands. It is solid, sturdy and well built. There are lesser expensive options that will definitely get the job done, however I like the heavier duty feel to this bar. I also believe this is slightly wider than the bionic body bar which was the other one I was considering. This bar is also 1 piece which I like better as well. The grips are are very “grippy” and the bearings rotate smoothly with no hold ups. I wish it was slightly cheaper, however, I am still pleased with my purchase.

The bar is solid, well constructed. I have the GoFit gym bands which I have used several times while traveling. I wanted the bar to add to my traveling routine. Problem- the bar is longer than my largest, checked bag for air travel. The bar doesn’t separate in the middle. I ordered the bar and then found another bar that is equal in quality and reviews, and unscrews in the middle. Within a few minutes of ordering GoFit bar, I tried to cancel. I submitted my cancel request order but Amazon processed the order anyway. Needless to say, I received both bars. Make sure you know the exact product before ordering.

In keeping with other GOFIT products this bar is AAA+++. I can't say enough about how solid and well built it is. It also has good rubber gripping and heavy weight. I looked at others but nothing comes close and looked cheap. You will not be disappointed. Get the GOFIT PRO GYM or the EXTREME PRO with all the accessories to use with this bar for an excellent workout. All well made. I will also add they have amazing customer service right here in Canada. I contacted them with a problem and they immediately responded and resolved the issue. Good solid company. Products built well to last.

This bar is well put together. Works smoothly and has nice grips. I debated on the purchase and happy I decided yes. Gives that full bar feeling that adds variety and options to your workout.

The bar is well suited for the GoFit resistance bands. Any band with the eye/d ring will clip on, pretty sure bands with carabiner on ends can be used as well. We also use these for pull up bands. Would suggest a larger carabiner for the larger pull up bands as they may get pinched or damaged by the carabiner closing clip. Carabiners can be bought at hardware outlet or Amazon. Make sure they are bigger. Nice feature on bar is at the end, there is a swivel mechanism which allows a smooth rotation. Nice for seniors like myself this avoids stress on wrist. Feel of bar is very solid and hand gripping material should last a lifetime based on two users. Robust weight to the bar as well. Certainly a keeper and a nice addition to our band set. Nice colour scheme as well. Would never attach steel weights to the bar, even with a cable. I have seen lots of methods to attach weights to bars by cables on YouTube, however this is not the bar for that and is not advertised as that. This would ruin the swivel ends.

It's pretty good, but it did fall apart after 4 and half years of regular use. The ball bearings at end came out and then eventually it was unusable.

This bar is way better than I thought it would be. It's very thick and robust. I'm pleased with it. The grips are excellent. If you need a bar, this is the one to buy.
