This works perfectly
The driver is embedded in the hardware and appears as an external USB drive. Then just load the Mac or PC driver and it works well. Don't bother with the ones that are $10.

Don't do it!!
This needs 0 stars. I have a Lenovo Flex 5 and it's about 5 years old. The USB C doesn't work. It's seemed to connect pretty seamlessly and I didn't have any problems for the first few days. Then after a few days the monitor that was connected to the HDMI output started to glitch, see below video. I have noticed that my Bluetooth is deleted off my computer and any program or app that is open seems to twitch 🙄 Coincidence.... I think not! Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a docking station!

Perfect
Just what I needed for my MacBook Pro which doesn’t have a lot of ports. I was able to hook up an external monitor and it also gives me some USB ports so I can use flash drives.

It broke in my hands?? (EDIT)
I got this for my Arzopa monitor to hook up to my laptop and I just used it today and it immediately broke in my hands when I tried to remove the hdmi cable. When it was plugged in the arzopa monitor did not turn on and just kept flickering but I think that’s a separate issue EDIT! So I managed to get it back into its case and fix it (I didn’t feel like going all the way to ups to return it so I decided to try it one more time) after I plugged it in my laptop registered the software and I was able to download it! Now I have my monitor working along with with my mouse plugged and (my drawing tablet is plugged into the laptop itself) there is a bit of lag but I think that’s more with all my programs and not the cable itself. So far everything has been working well (I’m still not sure why it broke off in my hands the first time but luckily the interior doesn’t seem to be damaged)
