Perfectly imperfect
It's a great fit and an excellent idea to completely swap out the foam windcover for a fur-covered wind cover. However, this does leave you with the quandary of where you should put, or whether to even keep, the original foam. The mic overall is Rode quality but it is larger and worth bearing that in mind for minimal setups.

Essential for outdoors
If you have the slightest breeze it's going to get picked up by your shotgun mic. This dead cat helps reduce it, but not eliminate it. It's easy to fit and doesn't impact on the sound quality too much. A bit pricey for what it is though.

Bloody lovely
Really good bit of kit. Blocks out a lot of wind! I film on a golf course most of the time and there is no wind cover. Having this really helps!

Use for light breeze only
Not worth £40, took this to Cliffs of Dover an umbrella blocking majority of the very mild winds and it still didn’t help with the audio quality at all.

Exact fit
Fast delivery and a fantastic fit. Because it is not a universal dearest it covers th mic perfectly and th sound uality is amazing. I would recommend this product. 👍🏻

The deadcat fits perfectly onto my rhode pro microphone. Also very easy to install, the only thing I do not like about it, is that it seems to muffle a bit of the sound with the extra covering. Other than that, it works great very affective in reducing the wind noise. We use it for car videos, to be able to record vehicles moving and get the noise of the engine without having to hear the wind in the background.
