For the first time in probably a few decades I’m going away from apple monitors to a 3rd party, which means i'm losing my built in webcam. I’ve been researching tons and tons of cameras to add to the top of the monitor and after all this research I discovered this is the best possible one you could get for a mac user (pc users too i'm sure, but i can't speak for that side of things).at $200 it's pricey for sure, and there's an identical version that's $50 cheaper if you don't mind losing the gimbal, but that's one of the main reasons to even switch so it was worth it for me.after getting it, setting it up and using it i'd have paid over $300 for it it's so good. so easy to use. so easy to install.it’s one of those rare devices that has ALL the features on the Mac side that are usually only on the pc side.when it comes to the software that supports hardware most mac users end up like kids at the kiddie table at thanksgiving... the pc users get all the good stuff and the mac software is usually an afterthought that gets ported and is usually missing 80% of the features. not with this one! with the software written from the ground up for Mac and it has SO many features. I want to say it's a "dizzying array" of features, but that would be the wrong thing to say because it would imply there's just too many to keep up with. but the software's user interface and design makes takes all those billions of features and so cleverly organizes them it doesn't feel overwhelming at all. you understand 90% of it straight out of the box.it’s ridiculously easy to install, there’s 2 pieces and a cable, that's it. and no assembly required. You put the camera (piece #1) near the base (piece #2) and a magnet instantly snaps them together. Then you literally hang it over the top of your monitor. The design is ingenious - takes up almost no room whatsoever, requires no mounting or fancy tricks or glue or tape or anything. PROS- This camera is way better (IMO) than various Logitech ones I've tried (including the BRIO).- 4k resolution is incredibly sharp- I love the ability to save "views" so you can quickly switch angles, focus targets, etc.- Very premium design/feel.- Incredibly powerful, yet user-friendly application. Wayyyyyy nicer than Logitech's.CONS- 4k only appears to support 4k @ 30fps, rather than 4k @ 60fps (which they advertise)- AI tracking is a nice gimmick, but your viewers don't want to see your camera move. Turn it off.- It lacks a physical screen cover switch, like the non-gimbal version has.- I've had some glitchy moments with it, like where my entire feed was turned sideways for a bit (despite the camera not even having a vertical/portrait mode).OVERALLI'd recommend this without hesitation. I think the hiccups will be solved via software updates over time, but the device itself seems great. It's not as good as a dedicated DSLR setup with fast glass, but it's a great runner-up, in a MUCH more compact form factor.

I debated between this and the Logitech Brio 4k. They were the same cost but this one came out better for video quality and the ai tracking. I should have gone with my gut and got the trusted Logitech cam vs this one. Out of the box you are instructed to scan the QR code for setup - that produced nothing. I went to their website and downloaded the software. It was straightforward and seemed to work well until I went to update the default camera in Zoom and Teams. OMG - 3 restarts, lowered the quality all the way down to 720 - still was making my high quality pc freeze. Also I was disappointed this does not have the VOF adjustment that Logitech does. I have spent hours messing with this but ultimately just filed for a return and ordered the Logitech camera. Logitech may not have all the whistles and bells this camera has but at least it won't crash my computer.

Great camera. Fix the problems with downloading the firmware updates. I can’t use the additional features with out it. Which those feature was why I chose it.Mac Mini4 user. Firmware is in a .bin file. Mac must have N issue with that? Either way fix your……

I tested five other cameras on top of this one, and NONE of them could even come close. The picture quality is outstanding and jam-packed with features that I'll never even use. If you want a webconferencing camera and are willing to pay more for it, this is the one you need. Don't even bother looking elsewhere - get this one. You won't regret it.
