Bluesound Node Performance Multi-Room Hi-Res Wireless Music Streamer (2024 Model) - Black

Arrived on time and is easy to set up. Depending on the gear you have, the Bluesound Node will provide you with a great streaming experience. The set up takes a little time and the software is pretty self intuitive. I first set it up with only the Node as the output and noticed that while it was better than Bluetooth, it sounded a little thin. So I connected an external DAC to the node via USB and got a noticeable improvement. I was using Amazon Music as the streaming source and still was not totally happy. I talked with a source and he recommended trying Tidal. So, I downloaded Tidal and BANG, what a difference. The sounstage opened up, the music was clear and precise. The end result is to enjoy your music within the budget you have. There are better streamers out there, but for the dollar spent, you have to spend more to beat the results. Bluesound Icon is another streamer that may give you what you want without and external DAC, but it comes with a $500 higher price tag. Also I happened to have an older DAC to try in my possession. I am looking to acquire a newer DAC to improve the sound even more. I am not a paid reviewer, just someone who like great music on a budget.

Used daily for Tidal, SomaFM, networked FLACs, and bluetooth'd audiobooks. Works with Tidal Connect on Android and Windows. Also works with my medieval universal IR remote. Wish it had a way to down-res, as I have it hooked up to an older receiver that does 96 but not 192kHz.

I purchased the Bluesound NODE after reading numerous customer reviews and audiophile websites. I suspect that if you can get this thing up and running, it's likely a good product. But, I'll never know. The "simple set-up" is far from simple and straightforward. It took me a couple of hours to perform the required system update, and not because the update was slow (which it is) but because of all of the numerous resets, various failure notices, and inconsistencies. The player would not connect to the required app., long enough to perform the update. It's important to note here that my internet connection and access is solid, as proven by the use of other high-demand electronics that I own, as well a download speed test. In any case I was finally able to get connected to the app., long enough to perform the software update. After that, it all went down hill. None of my Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, nor desk top would recognize the player). I received one of three messages each time I attempted to connect. All indicating that the set up was not complete, or that the player was unable to find device. This was another couple hours of re-sets and retries. I went on line and rather than searching for reviews, investigated the specific problems of set-up. There, the truth is revealed--many complaints of exhausting and frustrating set-up attempts. I never made it to the point of being able to the see app.'s functional user interface. What a mess! I've returned the unit. Simply not worth the headache.

I think that for the money, this is one of the best sounding all in one streamers that you will find for around $550. I believe it to be quite a step up in sound quality as an all in one unit compared to the original Node and Node 2i. The DAC in this new unit sounds wonderful, a nice even sound with tonal richness across the spectrum. The headphone amplifier is also very good and worth the extra cost over the Nano if you plan on listening to headphones. I would say if you don't care about headphone listening or plan on using your own DAC you could save some money by going with the Nano or an older Node but if you plan on using all of the features and/or need an HDMI input this is the one to get. The Nano was highly reviewed by British Audiophile (whom I trust) and I figured if the Nano was good that the Node would be even better given it has it's own power supply... I think I made the right decision. I give the unit 4 stars instead of 5 because before purchasing I called Bluesound a couple of times hoping to get someone on the phone who had actually used the product to answer some questions and the only people I was able to talk to seemed to be some outsourced call center with scripted responses so I am deducting a star for Bluesound being an audio company without actual audio customer support.

I've only been listening for a day but it's an obvious improvement over the older 2i that I've been using for streaming for the last few years. Much fuller, richer, more analog sound. Radio Paradise and Qobuz have never sounded better in my system. Anyone want a pristine Node 2i for cheap? lol

This amazing product makes it possible to stream music through my component system. I'm very happy with the quality of sound and the price.

I purchased the Node and did not have any issues setting up (though I noted others have). My single biggest complaint is the huge lag when adjusting the volume up or down. Initially, I chalked this up to adjusting the volume via their App. So I purchased the Bluesound IR Remote Control thinking that would solve the problem. Nope. When you adjust the volume, you literally have to wait 2 to 3 seconds for the software to make the volume adjustment. For this reason alone, I took off two stars. That unresponsiveness is simply unforgivable. Volume adjustments should happen instantly. No lag. No delay. The sound quality is decent though and its great for Bluetooth streaming, SPotify, etc. but does not offer all services. Would I buy this unit again? Not so sure -- and definitely not with the volume control lag.

I use it as streamer only for now. Really perfect works with BluOs and even with Tidal Connect. I am very satisfied with the Bluesound Node N132

Big improvement over the sound from node 2i

Alors, je ne saurais dire si jai reçu un produit défectueux ou non mais j'ai une latence de 2 secondes en étant en ethernet et hdmi earc. Ensuite le son, bof, j'avais un ampli sony home cinéma généraliste qui n'avait aucun problème et un son de meilleure qualité. Soit le bluesound était défectueux soit c'est vraiment nul ! Dommage, 1 semaine de livraison inutile...

Perde continuamente la connessione alla rete wifi e diventa inutilizzabile, non avendo altra interfaccia di controllo. Inoltre, dopo circa un mese, ha iniziato ad emettere un forte ronzio da una delle due uscite RCA. Ancora, avrebbe dovuto leggere gli hdd formattati NFTS, ma il mio non individua proprio lo hdd. Ho contattato l'assistenza Bluesound (in inglese), ma non hanno saputo risolvere il problema da remoto e mi hanno invitato ad attivare la garanzia. Così mi sono rivolto al venditore, ho reso il dispositivo e sono in attesa del rimborso. Nel frattempo ho acquistato un Wiim Ultra e funziona perfettamente: nessun rumore di fondo, collegamento WiFi stabile, lettura immediata dello stesso hdd che il Node non leggeva. Forse sono stato sfortunato, nel senso che mi è capitato un dispositivo difettoso, ma francamente lo sconsiglio.

Einfach super! Lieferung erfolgte schnell und die Ware war auch sehr gut verpackt. Und das Gerät hält kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Bin im Nachgang froh, dass ich hier etwas mehr investiert habe.

Superb streamer, easy set up, sound quality better to my ear than a much more expensive uk made one that I own.
