Obsessed with this system. OBSESSED!
Is it too dramamtic to say I am OBSESSED with the eufy system? Seriously. This setup is on a whole different level compared to my previous system (from a very popular brand that shall remain unnamed, iykyk). This one is way more intuitive, easier to manage, and just feels smarter overall. Super easy for a non-tech savvy gal like me. First of all the video quality? Perf. The nighttime looks like daytime. I was not expecting it to be that clear without blasting a spotlight everywhere, but here we are. Bonus points that I can toggle on and off basically EVERYTHING woth these cameras, something my old system severely lacked on. It’s crisp and you can actually see what’s going on instead of grainy blobs. The motion detection is also sooo much better. I’m not getting spammed every time a leaf moves, which is such a relief. And can we talk about the solar situation? Probably my biggest point for raving like a lunatic on this review. It came with an external solar panel too (maybe I missed that in the description, I dunno), but that was such an incredibly thoughtful surprise. Most companies you have to pay out the wallet for extra bits and bobs like that and they just threw one in like it was no problem? A lil freebie? Sweeties. Feel super valued as a customer for sure. I love that you can use the built in panel or add the external one for extra coverage. It just makes the whole system feel complete and and gives some serious peace of mind for my front camera that is typically pretty shaded. No monthly fees is the straight up cherry on top, i got SO sick of paying monthly fees on... the other brand. Local storage, expandable options, easy app control it just works. Setup was smooth, everything feels premium, and I finally feel like my home security is actually secure instead of hoping for the best. Couldn’t be happier with my experience as a whole. There is a tiny lag when opening an event but its so miniscule it does not bother me, plus it is recording the whole time so no capturing worries.

There are flaws but over all good camera
I have 4 different cameras from Eufy (4) S3 , (2) Solo cam s340 and the latest editions for Christmas (1) video doorbell e340 and (1) eufy cam S4. I'm waiting for snow and mud to go away to mount (2) new S4 which I got for my Birthday. Which is relevant since I got to interact with customer service. Also a Eufy tablet I find easy enogh to use my in laws are still baffled. All cameras are maxed out as far as video recording time, highest detection settings, fastest turn around time to start recording. S3 is a good stationary camera very clear picture. It says 40ft and it sometimes catches and records that far out but I would stick to 25-30 max. 2 of the S3 are hooked up to the larger solar panel because they are out of sunlight other 2 are using the built in solar panel. They are set to color videos at night. The one on our porch catches 99+ videos a day because we smoke out there. Unfortunately during the Pittsburgh winter it has struggled a bit. It does a noble job of trying but I have taken to turning it off and back on when we smoke. Really we dont need that in video anyway. The rest of the S3 cameras catch a average of 20 videos a day 2 of them barely get 1/2 hour sun in the winter a day and are fine. The Solo cam S340 is a very nice camera both of these are maxed out as far as length of video turn around time for restarting video clip set to color at night. This camera does not have a anti theft option for some reason. One on the opposite side of our front porch from the S3 so it follows packages delivered to the door. The other is on our back deck. Same issue on the porch as the S3 99+ views a day fine in the summer Pittsburgh winter left it drained much quicker than the S3. I just turn it off when we're going out to smoke. I'm not sure what the range is supposed to be on these cameras but picks movement up 40ft away. Its tracking ability is good both manually and on its own. It can seem a bit sluggish while manually guiding it where you want to see. I'm also very impatient. It can do a complete 360 n up n down. The doorbell camera is again a good video quality since it is wired in no battery problems. My complaint with it is the package delivery alert. Everything is a package some days. A leaf, a shadow a chair other days it's fine. Otherwise doorbell hooked up easily can be connected to the door chime already installed its not since I don't wanna. The last one is the S4. The S4 has the advantage of the stationary and the mobile and yes it is a advantage. One camera aimed in one direction one in the other. Movement is sensed it zoomes in and starts tracking. 2 movements in opposite directions we haven't had a chance to try yet. Very good day or night this is the only camera still set to black and white at night. The images are still good but I need to change it. I found with the other cameras it's even better in color. Other than stationary top lense and the mobile bottom it is pretty much the same as the S340 the mobile bottom can do a 360 up and down this camera does have a anti theft alert. It also picks up movement 35ft away. It stays with that movement way past that. All of the cameras can zoom in on a image the S340 and S4 will zoom in and out on there own while recording to better focus. You can still zoom in after pictures are clear on all of them. All of these cameras have live view and you are able to talk to the individual through the cameras. Something my in laws a re still baffled by. It's mostly clear when speaking back and forth. All except the doorbell and the S340 have a anti theft that alerts you and sets off a siren when it is messed with. Keep that in mind if you need to adjust your camera after setting it up. Nothing like being on a latter and having your camera unexpectedly scream at you. They all have activity zone capability which I use on 2 cameras the S4 especially since it is convinced my mother in laws mailbox is a human. Easy to set up once I realized what's in the blue is what it is going to pick up movement in. We have the Homebase S380 at both houses. At our house we added memory because we are outside a lot more, packages, the S340 picks up everyone who walks by basically without the extra memory I was having to erase it every week or so. My in laws the doorbell camera and S4 pick up about 8-10 videos a day. So no extra memory needed. I'm not thrilled with the identity it does really good at identifying people: Myself and my husband neighbors etc. Then it will go off the rails. For the past week just about everyone including me has been identified as my neighbor. I removed him from the list of known people so now it is slowly getting the known names correct but it's not like my neighbor looks even close to me my husband or my 7mo old Granddaughter. Usually it's fine but this is the second time it's gone off the rails for identifying people. All of the cameras can have the alerts silant for different amounts of time or turn the camera off. Different alert sounds for different cameras are handy for knowing which camera is picking up motion. They all confuse wild animals with domestic pets but honestly I like watching the fox and deer and rabbits. My nighbors have asked me repeatedly about the fox and remind me share the videos which is as easy as downloading and texting or emailing. Mounting all of these cameras easy. The hardest part is finding where you can maximize sun if your camera is in a really high traffic area like our 2 porch ones. Wasn't a issue in the summer but winter here is ugh. The app is pretty easy to use. I get frustrated turning the two cameras off when I'm pressing the gear to get to the settings and nothing happens but I'm not sure if that is the app or my phone. Once you have your cameras set up on your app you can share it. So my cameras are on my phone my tablet and my husband's tablet. The doorbell camera and the S4 are actually set up at my inlaws house. We set it up on my father in laws phone and a Eufy tablet and he shared with me so now they are grouped in on my app with my cameras. Not going to lie it is nice being able to know they are safe. That late night knock on the door? Got a alert and when my father in law answered I was already up out my door and almost to my car watching a live view of the doorbell camera while the salesman was giving his pitch. My husband was right behind me calling there house. Fortunately it was just that but what salesman is out at 7:30 at night? We live right down the road it still gives us peace of mind. You can't use these like a NVR set up. They are battery/solar panel and running them 24 hr will drain them faster than having the app run in the background drained my old phone. The video is from the front porch S3 Oh the S340 and S3 all record in color at night without the spotlight being visible. My S3 in my backyard I left the spotlight on. Doorbell lights up when recording at night the S4 is still in black and white at night. We used a compact CCTV mounting bracket to mount the S4 so that it can capture more of the house. Worked out very well. Now customer service. Eufy gave me a discount for my birthday. I ordered (2) S4 realized I messed up how I was paying panicking I cancelled the order. Discount code gone. I emailed Eufy they emailed back to put the order in they would reimburse me me the difference. This was the only solution they would offer. I tried to call but was unable to get ahold of a human. I am one of the first people to scream in frustration at automated systems. This was actually pleasant and informative. I put the order in. The money was refunded back to my card within a day. They followed up in the email to make sure I got the correct amount that the order was to my satisfaction if there was anything else they could do. I did not actually speak to another human but they did resolve my own self made issue quickly and effectively.

Easy to setup. Camera has excellent night vision. Very clear picture. Cameras reach with homebase varies depending on obstruction. Homebase needs to be centrally located if covering total length of home
