Is it reusable or is one bag use only?

It’s reusable as long as you can stick it back in - hard plastic and Velcro - the weak Link is the stick on bag other side of Velcro - but there’s lots of those supplied

Sorry may be a stupid question. Ive just got a stoma and when i shower the tape gets loose. Will this product just cover stoma and bag while i shower

This is just not for that. It would not really cover all that much and so it is etter to simply remove everything from the stoma as the person goes in the shower. And apply new clean products on leaving the shower. Now, if you wanted to somehow keep the colostomy bag in place that you already had before the shower, ie. You don't want or need to change everything to new clean products, then there is an easy system and this guard and belt combo would certainly ly be useful! I get a piece of plastic sheeting, in fact it is the plastic bags they pack the bags in.i split a couple or three of these clear plastic bags about a foot long each and almost the same wide too. Then I tape them, just with any old sellotape to each other side by side to make effectively a wide rectangle so that I have the foot long measurement 8n the up and down arrangement and the slightly smaller width measurement g9ingnacfoss the width. Now, the plan is to put this plastic 'guard sheet over the area of my body where the colostomy bag is. I line the plastic sheet up and have the top edge of the rectangle, wide ways on remember! Have it just above the bag. Now, place sellotape al across the top edge of plastic and right on to the skin of the body which is obviously very dry! Using all the sellotape you need, simply tape the top edge of this sheeting so that it is acrossthe top of where your bag is.,don't tape to the bag, just tape onto your skin, ABOVE the bags position At this point it may resemble a see through skirt being taped in place hehe. If u look at it like that then it might help u to understand what I am trying to position it like here. When the top edge of plastic guard is secure, lok at the left and right SIDES of the plastic guard and how they so easily hang down and move this way or that. NOT GOOD. These sides will easily move in the shower and then the bag, which is already under some protection just from the minimal taping you've done of the plastic sheeting already, so to secure those is even simpler. Just get a price of tape approx a couple of inches long and stick one down the side from the top left corner where its already stuck to your skin, and just position the sheeting as right angles straight as it hangs already naturally. You want a squared off shape on he top left and top right. Simples! Only go about 2 or maybe 3 inches down with the tape though as you will restrict your own movement if u use too much and then the plastic sheeting guard will be erm, rubbish instead of genius! Hehe. Thats is pretty much it. I could have written this in about 4 sentences but when I did that on a forum for stoma users, you would not believe the nu ber of follow-up questions I kept getting and the nature of how obvious and so lle those answers were. I couldn't believe the lack of foresight. So this time I leave nothing out! I sincerely hope you find all the instruction you need my fellow baggist! But hey! If you want to do this and are unable to follow the instructions I wrote then please don't be pit off asking me something to clarify something! I am more than willing to help! Despite my smart ass comments above! All the best! Oh and for those who did 8t, just 7sr this as a stoma guard, meaning wear a bag and everything you usually wear, IN THE SHOWER WITHOUT THE NEED TO REMOVE EVERYTHING and then when you are washing you just be careful not to get soap or water under the plastic and soak the bag etc.mit can usually take some water though so don't be really worried, just be cautious is all. When you are showering be cautious and as long as you never put the head of the shower under the plastic sheeting hehehe then you will be fine. Shower finished. Dry the surrounding and above areas and then carefully remove the sellotape and then pat the bag and areas under the plastic that got slightly wet, so that they are dry. I keep this in a drawer in bathroom and use it a few times before ditching and making another one as needed.
