The harbor master is an excellent design with excellent build quality for an excellent price. In the budget knife world of today we don't have a place for models that offer anything less than excellence as it's almost unreal the quality and performance you can get in today's knife market for 30 to 50 dollars. The action had some stiffness out the box but within 10 to 15 open and closing it was smoothed out and the action excellent with rock solid lock up and no blade play or lock rock. The leaf shape blade is imo one of the best blade shapes for EDC that you can get just for the fact that it does everything good. You have 3mm blade stock that comes down to around 18-20 thousandths of an inch behind the edge so it's going to pass thru materials nicely and slice very well with that cutting geometry yet it's not to thin that you have to baby it and is about the perfect geometry for an Edc knife in the 3 to 3.5 inch blade length range. 704 is using very grippy G10 so it really locks in the hand, the crossbar locks have stiffer omega springs so they lock up nice and tight and you won't have a failure of the lock unless you are really doing something wild. Civivi is the company that is OEMing these knives for them I'm 99% sure, the D2 is done excellent, sharpens and performs exactly like Civivi/Sencut D2 does and that's a good thing as they have gotten the heat treat dialed in quite well for production knives in D2 and you get a lot of performance for very little money. These are excellent deals at the normal price of 32 dollars but when they go on sale at 19.99 they are an unreal value for your dollars. They are build like a tank and clearly designed to be tuff work knives for blue collar folk with great fit and finish for the money. This knife or any of the 704 gear knives at the sale price of 19.99 is pretty much impossible to beat for the quality and performance of knife you get per dollar, even at their normal prices they are great values but at the sale prices you really cant get more for your money. The Urban ranger V2 is a real banger, the Hornet is a real banger and the Harbor master is a super banger of a budget priced Edc work knife.Dont expect no super light weight fidget toy like knife when you buy these, expect a stoutly built user knife that is ready to work for you.704 gear is killing it with these designs at the prices they offer them at. As someone that is very in to pocket knives from budget to ultra premium I can 100% say that the value in these knives is extremely high. I don't care about the fidget factor of knives, I only care about cutting performance/steel performance, good action with solid lock up and comfortable in hand and that's exactly what these knives provide at a crazy good price.

This is a solid knife, and you can't beat the price. Easy to open once you get use to opening with the thumb stud. Crossbar lock works flawless. I like the shape of the blade and it came very sharp. I purchased one for myself and then purchased 10 more for my team for Christmas. I bought the black one, looks cool, is functional, and goes with everything, even those nights when you need to dress up.

I just got this knife today, and let me tell you—I immediately bought another one. I’ve been searching for something to replace my EDC CRKT M21-14SFG, which has been tearing up every right pants pocket I own for the past 8 or 9 years...LOL. I have a small collection of knives ranging from cheap to moderately expensive, but none of them felt right for everyday defense use like my M21.Then I realized I’ve never actually had to use my M21 for defense, and carrying an expensive knife every day seemed unnecessary. While watching a YouTuber's video, they mentioned the EDC 704 Gear Harbor Master. It caught my attention with its affordable price and built-in bottle opener, so I decided to give it a try.Now, I’m wondering why I didn’t carry something like this all along. I love the bar lock for quick and easy blade access, and the bottle opener is just the cherry on top...LOL. Within an hour of receiving my first Harbor Master, I went ahead and bought a second one as a backup—just in case everyone else decides to snatch them up...LOL.

I began grabbing this knife over my spyderco my RAT 1 and 2, and my Kershaw link amongst other knives. Very Sturdy construction. Once it’s broken in it function so well. About few months after using it daily and also cleaning and oiling regularly one of my omega springs broke. I called customer service to see if their lifetime warranty would cover this item. Not a massive problem to fix myself. I figured it wouldn’t be covered. To my surprise it was covered! I gave them my name address and original order number. A week or so later I received an envelope and I was completely blown away when I opened a brand new harbor master! Now that’s a company that stands behind their product and their warranty! I’m about to now order the hornet. 704 will be my go to brand over all others now. I am absolutely amazed and they have gotten a lifelong customer. Everyone should support this company! Honest people are hard to come by and honest companies are even harder to come by. This company is both. I have a big collection of all kinds of brands but this brand will be the brand in my pocket from now on.

For under $30. This is an incredibly well-made knife. It is super attractive, it is well put together and made with excellent materials. Gently a nice carry knife or excellent for a gift.
