So simple. I've used others that I had to bolt to the toilet and then of course, the nut locks up and I spend an hour getting the seat off the toilet and it was never really stable. This you can put together in 5 minutes, place it over the toilet and you're done. Adjusts vertically and horizontally. Bonus, you can easily move it to any toilet in the house. It's the only one I'll ever use in the future.

I bought this as an elevated toilet seat to fit over top of the existing bathroom toilet bowl while recovering from back surgery. It's sturdy and well made. The cushioned seat is comfortable, but sticks to your skin as perspiration builds up between it and your skin. The side handles are great for assisting in getting up off of the seat. The seat does fasten to the frame front and back with half circle clips. This made it impossible to swing the front of the seat up for a man to stand and pee, or for it to be raised for routine cleaning. I unscrewed the two front clips, and it held in place very well with the remaining rear clips.

I recently had my hip replaced and was advised ahead of time to get some kind of adapter for my toilet to make things easier getting up and down. I found that this product was perfect for that use in addition to being able to use on the toilet itself it also came with a commode attachment that was useful in the first days after my surgery I would highly recommend this product to anyone who was in need of such a product after hip replacement surgery.

These features are perfect for elderly, handicap or someone needing reassurance in moving from standing to sitting positions. You can adjust how high and wide you need the frame to sit. If you're going to use this commode you should be aware that the seat, while padded, is much smaller than it looks. If the person using it is male then go ahead and buy some urinals while you're at it. It's very difficult to hit the target. Even removing your toilet's seat and lid it is difficult to get it to try and hit the water. And mine is the elongated bowl but I still can't get it to cover enough of the bowl. So, I'm sure you're probably thinking just use the bowl that comes with it. The bowl's size is actually minimal so even if you hit the bowl please prepare for a splash back. The bowl is small shallow.I bought this because I thought it would work well and didn't want to dig out his old commode. Today I dug it out. And when we get a little break in the weather I'm taking it to the car wash to clean it.Please do not waste your money
