I liked original drawings by Pauline Baynes. Great memories of reading these stories when I was younger. The book is heavy though. I am 59. For younger readers, it would be necessary to put the book on a table.

The dust jacket and binding are nice, as is the type style and page presentation. The original illustrations by Pauline Baynes are beautiful in color, including some full-page maps. This makes a wonderful gift item for Narnia lovers. The only drawback is the weight. Containing all seven volumes, this is a heavy tome to hold on your lap.

Great gift for adults and kids, would recommend

Some of the most inspiring material I have ever had the privilege of reading.It strengthened my love for Him whom Aslan quite clearly represents - our Saviour Jesus Christ.

The Chronicles of Narnia is one of the best book series I have ever read. It can be read and enjoyed in a fantasy context only, but it takes on a much deeper and profound meaning when read within the context of Christianity. The more I learn about Christian theology, the more I appreciate what Lewis did with these stories. This is a book series that every child should read, and one that adults can return to several times in their lives.
