I needed a counter to keep track of my pool laps. I'm pushing myself really hard and concentrating on my stroke and breathing so much that I lose count of laps. I looked for one of these counters in a watch, but they don't have any, only a tiny one that fits on your finger for way too much money. So, I bought this one (comes with 2), and it works fine. I'm just starting back swimming, and I have to stop after each lap anyway to catch my breath. So, I just have the counter at the edge of the lane, and I click it after each lap. Works good for now. I'm up to 14 laps by now. This counter should last me a couple of months or so until I get up to 36 laps (1 mile).
