Much Better than Other "Gold" Craft Paints
After struggling to get a solid looking gold for my wooden craft projects, I gave this a try.I'm very happy with the results! After just one coat, the piece had a nice gold finish (not just transparent and glittery).Two coats got the job done. I'm glad to have a reliable paintable gold, and I would buy again!

Definitely the goldest gold ever
This paint comes out extremely gold, but when I topcoated over it with Tamiya Clear Yellow it looked like 24 karat gold plating. It was almost TOO gold after that.

Very metallic
I purchased this to cover some decor items and I wanted that metallic look without being glittery. This is where it's at. When originally applying it I thought a little glitter was showing through but as it dried it looked great. I gave it four stars instead or five because it was not that yellow gold color I was after. It almost has a gold to copper hue. Still beautiful though if not a bit pricey.

Not even close to being gold like

Ehhh, there’s way better gold metallic paints available.
I wouldn’t say this is the world’s goldest metallic paint available by any stretch. Especially for the high price just for 30ml, you’d expect something pretty spectacular. This paint just didn’t deliver like I’d imagine it would considering the price. The paint has a medium viscosity and smooth application with very, very fine mica, but gold doesn’t look too metallic even under bright light compared to other brands. It is comparable to Golden’s iridescent gold deep (fine)-except Semple’s has a just a less shiny, metallic finish. I have just about every gold paint available and I’ve found much cheaper alternatives that are way better than this paint. Especially the Decoarts Extreme Sheen 24K Gold and Flash 24k Gold Plus ( extremely nice!!). See attached pics for comparisons. The 3 strips are painted over white, yellow ochre and black paint. Each gold paint sample has 3 strips that will give you an idea of opacity with 1st strip=1 coat, 2nd=2 coats and 3rd= coats.
