Good value
I am really surprised at the number of low-star reviews. Yes, folks, it's a discontinued product (that's why it's cheap). It's not bundled with a memory card (a leading-brand 8GB SD card will cost £5). Because it's older, the bundled software may not work with Windows 7 or 8 and the batteries that have been sitting on the shelf inside the box may not be very fresh. What is boils down to is that you need to make friends with Windows Explorer and find a way to read files from an SD card into your computer (it might even have a built-in SD slot, the camera IIRC comes with a mini USB lead, if necessary a multi-format card reader is always a good thing to buy). Fundamentally this is a quite good 14 MP camera which is quite easy to use and is available at quite a low price.PS re memory cards - I can't get the camera to work with cards bigger than 2GB - doesn't really matter, these still hold a lot of pictures!

A Big Improvement from my old Brownie Camera
I needed a replacement for my old Practica camera. The last Kodak I had was my Brownie camera ! This EasyShare C195 is great for me (69 year old lady). It's compact and so very easy to use. The pictures are clear and sharp and I am pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of this camera considering the price. The instructions are clear and I had no trouble in setting the camera up to use. Uploading pictures on to the computer is also very easy. I have replaced the Kodak AA batteries with Duracell Lithium ones though, as I think that they last longer. Also, I bought a hard shell purple and white spotted camera case from Argos for £4.99 which fits my new camera perfectly. Result !

Good for the price I paid
Takes fairly good photos. The buttons are small and fiddly and the easy share is misleading as you still need to connect to the computer to share, their in no wi-fi. It easier just to stick the sd card in the computer than use easy share. I was expecting it to work more like a smart phone camera. Also the kodak sharing service seems to have shut down now. Get it if you want a cheap camera but dont buy it for the photo share as it is just a gimmick.

Good camera, as it was easy to setup (hardware point of view), but the software / drivers installation was a bit difficult...
This digital camera is straight forward and easy to setup from a hardware point of view. Plus it is very simple to take photos and use the nav keys to work the menu and access the different options like formating a memory card, setting date & time etc... Now this is were the BUT comes in, when you are connecting it to a PC via the supplied USB cable, the drivers / software are inbuilt into the camera and you install the software onto the PC via the camera. [Note, there is NO supplied CD / disk with drivers / software] . Though when I was trying to install drivers / software via the camera, the installation failed on numerous attempts. Hence I had to search for Kodak digital camera drivers / software on the Internet. This took some time, as Kodak official website do NOT have the drivers / software available to download. I was lucky to find a third party website to download and install the drivers / software. Once installed, my PC recognized the camera and I was able to transfer my photos to PC via the Kodak Share software...

Kodak Easyshare C195
This little piece of kit is absolutely brilliant. The optical zoom is good, the quality and balance of the images are spot-on. It really is a point and shoot that produces images of a quality far in excess of other so called quality compact digital cameras I have tried. The camera also has another very useful trick up its sleeve; it takes a variety of batteries. If you want to use rechargeable batteries, you can. If you want to use standard AA Duracells, you can. As a motorcycle tourer, I have not yet found a camera that is so convenient to take with you. No need for chargers taking up space in your luggage. The battery life has also been amazing. On a break of 8 days duration and with lots of photo-taking and experimentation, I only needed to change the batteries once, and that was on the 6th day, amazing! If you want a quality compact digital camera, I think that this is pretty much spot-on. The video footage from the camera is pretty good too. I have no complaints about this camera whatsoever. Highly Recommended.

Disappointed with Easyshare C195
Going by the reviews on this camera I thought I would give it a try but it turned out to be a real disappointment. The colours in the photos were not accurate and I also found while the camera would focus on the main object any other objects in the photo were a bit blurred. I tried various scene modes but this didn't really improve things much. The auto focus as another reviewer mentioned was problematic for me also. Yes, it makes sharing to social media sites and email addresses very easy but my 7yr old 4mp camera takes much better photos so it defeated the purpose of 'upgrading'. I returned it and received a full refund and decided on a Practika Luxmedia 20-Z50 instead which is working brilliantly.

Easy share software discontinued September 5th 2012
On connecting my new C195 camera I was informed that the Easy share software was not available to download. I had to contact Kodak to download a share button app. This allows me to transfer images to my PC. Direct upload is available to some sites, but not all. If this is important to you, check with Kodak before purchase. The camera itself appears to be good, but you will need to buy a memory card as the internal memory is small, especially on 14Mb images.

bella e economica
