Perfect choise to power a dashcam if your rearview mirror is factory powered. 5 minute install - no tools required. Much better than the very early heat-shrink-wrapped units that looked like a blob. I had one of those, bought from some import/export outfit based on the west coast. Lasted a few years and needed a new one. I chose this one since it is exactly the same thing, much less expensive, comes with a variety of cables for your dashcam and is housed in a tiny black plastic enclosure. It is working fine. We'll see how long this one lasts.

Works great for my 2004 Lexus GX470 to allow me to run power for my dash cam. This way I don't need to run a cord through the pillar and dash for power. Clips inline with your existing wiring for your rearview mirror. Powers up my dash cam effectively. You can hide it pretty well behind the rearview mirror. 100% recommend for GX owners needing some power for dash cams.
